The sizzle in the Steak
The Lexus designers who designed this should talk to Acura's designers and teach them a thing or two.

Performance wise, I'm betting the NSX (or whatever it will be called) > LF-A

But they announced a V10 in this concept. I seriously doubt they'll be changing it this late in the game. Does Yamaha have any experience with Turbo's? I thought they were behind most of Toyota's 'F' car engine development.

Acura has lost its flav, or at least the little it had. Just IMO.

Go do comparisons of the TL and its competitors when the 3rd gen came out.

Well ... since Toyota has a warchest of money to throw at F1 ... they might as well throw a little more into the engine of this future halo car for the brand's sake. I would consider the LF-A to be a 'discount' Aston Martin without the electronic gremlins English 'motorcoaches' are famous for having (ie Jaguar).
And to compare this concept to the future NSX ... too early to tell. People dissed the original NSX for having a V6 with such little HP but it was a quick / tossable car on the track.

I dont know if I could spend 200k on a lexus (if I actually had it). I mean for that you could get a lot of other cars just seems overpriced to me.

For what its worth, July's Car and Driver. Their sources claim close to 200K and a 5L V10 with 520 HP.
Not sure I trust C&D's scoops as they also claim that the next NSX is RWD, not an AWD sports car with a 5.5L V10 with 550 HP. Estimated cost, 170K.

Nice pics from the 'ring. That Lexus does look very sweet. Now ... will it be good on the track and be driveable on the potholed streets of Anytown, USA? Lexus is supposed to be posh and 'refined' (ie rubbery steering feel but quiet as a library at highway speeds)
I definitely think this car (when it makes production) will be hand built in Japan. At close to US$200k (est) ... it better be!

Lexus LF-A Delayed
Word on the Tokyo auto show floor is that the Lexus LF-A supercar is a no show because it's not fast enough. Lexus wants it to reach 350 kp/h but it'll only touch 330 kp/h. That's 205 mph. Seems fast enough to us, but Lexus wants the LF-A to be faster than all its rivals. To reach the mark, Lexus has put the car back on the drawing board for an aerodynamics redo.

Quit making excuses
They saw what Nissan has done with a car they're pricing @ $70,000 and called a quick audible.

Now what's Acura's excuse for the NSX...
