Hello all:

Been reading all if not most of the post pertaining to tranny failures and swaps. My CL motor is at 154k and the tranny is now slowly failing. It's my daily driver and my work depends on it (whose doesn't?) So I am in a time crunch but I don't wanna do a shoddy job in researching before I plunk down the cash to acquire a tranny then have my mechanic (a Honda specialist) install it. He's swapped a few trannies on Civic and Accord (4cyl & 6cyl) as well as V6 Ody's.

I have since found a 2006 TL tranny with 5,833 miles on it for $1380+$125 freight. I don't think it's a Type S TL (but will get VIN from the vendor seller to verify.) The vendor claims those are indeed correct miles and is from a "lot purchase". I am wanting to find out (specifically from NAV-AV6) what my mechanic needs to know in order to swap this newer tranny in. The newer tranny comes with the Torque Converter as well and all the sensors, however, I am unsure whether the TL and CL sensors match up.

So this is a start to get the most info that I can for my mechanic.

Let me know what info that my mechanic needs and information specifically from NAV-AV6 would be particularly helpful.
