There is a lawyer somewhere on AcuraZine. Maybe he also could give you some advice. He had some problems with a vendor that I cannot remember at this time. I am not saying he will represent you as I don't know him but like I said, he may give you some advice. Just search the forums and you should find him.

No. He's probably going to keep us all in suspense, just like Brian about his new wheels.

update is... the car is on the road again, but has been snowed in for awhile. =]

i'm just going real easy on the break in, i'm not pushing anything. last time i drove it all over the place to get miles on it so i could get on it, i'm in no rush, mainly because i still need to replace a radiator, possible axles, and possible steering rack issues.

First, let me apologize for digging up a thread that is over 1.5 years old . I was doing a search for Dr. Evil transmissions for my Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T and found this forum completely on accident, but the story about the Dr. Evil experience convinced me to stay away from them.

I'm glad I found your story! I was considering a D/E tranny for my Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T and found this forum and thread. NO WAY will I be buying a Dr. Evil transmission now!

(Sorry for being the domestic guy with the Dodge posting on the Acura website. FWIW, I've always has a taste for the Integra Type Rs )

Recently, a company called APS manufacturing built a trans for an 11-second AMG Mercedes, which caught my eye. I was wondering if you might try contacting them? Their website says,
"APS Precision Mfg., LLC utilizes a 30,000 Sq Foot CNC machine shop with over 200 employees dedicated to making specialty parts that may not be available elsewhere. We are constantly pushing forward into new areas and invite our customers to submit ideas on parts or tools that they would like to have built. We can meet that challenge provided we determine that there is a market to recover capital expenditures.

Our transmission specialists have, at a minimum, 20+ years of experience as well as formal education, in some cases, Masters Degrees in Engineering. In all circumstances we design parts for looks but that is secondary to function, after all we are engineers. We have the ability to create on very large scale but have chosen to tackle some of the more specialized areas as we see that Custom Products are slipping away in the marketplace."
Just a thought for anyone else considering a beefy auto trans

interesting, liked what they did on the Benz.
That make sit feel like they could or possible tackle the problems with our 5 speed-AT tranny.
Though seems like a small tranny shop that does some work with .......
Only actually trying them could prove them reliable.
