now only if it had some external inputs you could hardwire in for some gauges (wireless is too unreliable, and slow)

I've heard good thinks about rev 2.0 so I'm goingnto try that one out before I pull the trigger on any gauges.

I'm assuming by cover you mean the heater controls? Either way it was either paint them black or wrap them and we had some dinoc kicking around so we went with that, and in the glove box was the only place they would fit where I could still reach them.

still wireless.... :shakehead; think about how much faster a hardwired computer is on the internet, compared to like a laptop running on a wireless network

and as far as going through the DLC, it is a bit delay, due to having to be processed by the ecu first, then output, then the scantool (or whatever it may be) has to then process that

I don't disagree, but the main factor for now is that it's a small fraction of the cost for all the readings I get.

No that would be the piece we used to cover the fiberglass. Red suede not only offsets the rest of the car well but does a great job at making it easier to take it out and prevent scratches. So when the iPad is in it covers the red.

Sorry I just realized I wasn't to clear on the fact that the iPad isn't permanently in the car, I am able to slide it in and out through the top. This way I can use it for school as well and my car is less of a target for theft.

Woot!! I have optical out!
I just finished ordering the Cambridge ID100, this gives me optical from the dock to my processor.
And I'm waiting to hear if pioneer has a pair of stage 4 speakers in stock, after reading reviews and other stuff online I think these are the speakers I want.

Thanks for the support guys, always feels good to get appreciation from people whom I've never met lol.
The dash is all complete with the heater controls working in the glove box. At the moment we are building the box, amp rack ect. I don't really need to put up any pictures of some unfinished wood in my car in here haha. Shouldn't be much longer though maybe a week or so.
Oh by the way the reason why it's taking them so long is because I work for the place that's doing it so my job gets put on the back burner when customers are in.

Little update
Box just needs to get carpeted and I'm still waiting on speakers.

The picture of the amp rack and box is with the bumper to the right of the image. The plexiglas is a window into the box and the subs actually fire towards the back seat. You can see them when you fold down the ski hole.

Finally decided and bought my speakers!
I ended up going with pioneers TS-C720PRS components and holy shit are these some bad ass speakers!

Everything should be finished within a week or hopefully this weekend but only time will tell.

Build is all done, just finishing up with tuning and putting in the alarm/starter. I'll try and post pictures along with a video on Friday when I get the car back.
Also on Friday I should have a chance to install the exhaust and maybe the new CAI(need a new mounting bracket) and I also may pick up some F&F type 1 this weekend depending on the seller.

Shits moving!

I like that you can cover everything up and it still looks like a trunk.

Ya still having a trunk was a huge deal for me so that was the direction we took.
As for weight its pretty solid back there, we haven't done any sort of test to see when it breaks and I'm in no rush to find out haha. I can imagine a large suit case that is full would be fine.

I am waiting to get home so I can post the rest of the pictures of the ipad and what was done and how it looked up front but the computer at work has any sort of picture hosting website blocked.

maybe not the best looking place for the headunit, but still for placement though (maybe just mold it in at some point)

Not a head unit, cl-future got it right it's just a remote contol for the processor. It has all my tuning abilities and volume contol so I need it to be somewhere accessible.
Also I'm not sure if I told you guys this but because the dock has an IR out and the PAC module for steering wheel controls has IR capability I have steering wheel controls still haha.
