My car says "owie"
Happened 200 miles away from SLC, had to drive the 80mph highway @ 50mph with the spare donut. Took another 4 hours to get home, and none of the surrounding towns had low profiles in stock.
Dunno what I'm gonna do now, I won't be getting any money for the next couple of months. I might just go ghetto and toss two stock wheels on the front, leave the two Aces in the back.

I have no idea what happened, I saw blue smoke coming out the back of my car and realized that blue smoke only means burning rubber. I quickly pulled over but as soon as I hit those "wake up" ridges on the side of the road, the tire completely separated from the wheel.
I have a hunch though .. In the first and second pic, you can see how the plastic fender lining hangs down a bit. When I first got out of the car, the lining was all twisted a bit, I'm betting some of the clips got loose when I hit a bump and started rubbing against the tire .. lining + rubber + 80mph = too much heat.

I managed to score a new Falken tire. Surprisingly, the tire covered most of the wheel damage, but it'll definitely have to be sanded and refinished by a pro sometime soon.
And of course, I bought and installed new fender clips from an online dealer. Remember kids, neglecting to take care of your car will fuck you up someday.

Unfortunately, the car's still not doing so hot.
Long story short, woman suffered a seizure, rolled into my opposite lane and I had no dodging room .. was forced to kiss front ends with hers.
Not two days after that, the new tire I bought for my mishap in the first post went flat. Took it out, tire shop found a crack on the inside edge of the wheel.
I swear I try to treat the car good, but shit just keeps happening. I'm so lucky that none of these were serious.
