I installed the factory kit on my accord coupe. I had to measure line it up, and drill holes in the bumper, even though they come painted im assuming I'd still have to have them repainted after theyve been modified to fit right? thanks dude

this is the original thread for the whole project.

page 1, picture 1 shows that you must cut the lip in 3 pieces and that the lip must be widened. i'll add now that the side skirts and rear lip must be shortened.
page 3 on that thread shows the bumper prep, the pieces being glued on and the filling of the 2 gaps that are left.
even found a great quote from ross...

it just takes a little research, and there is no fun in having everything handed to you for the fab process, make it your own dont be afraid to do some cutting and molding. after all, if you screw up you can just take it to the shop then and have them fix it.

These 2 CL's are the best I have seen ever. You both did a fantastic job on the fabrication/install of these lips. Props to both of you. They definitely have a nice sporty look, and THAT is a good thing.

Ross and Distorted (sorry don'tknow your name) The car actually doesn't look too bad without exhaust tips...how does it sound? Maybe yall could just leave it as is...i mean...I bet if Ross had any type of aftermarket exhaust his shit would scrap over every driveway and I know TX has steep driveways to divert the flood levels =P

proffesion...axle breaker
first exhaust that comes to my mind would be a pair of 5zigen fireball megas with heat treated tips, ive alwas thought those look good on luxury cars....they would have to be custom fitted of corse

the CL chapter has come to a close. currently the car is back on stock wheels, comptech drop and engine mounts. all the other parts have been sold off, except the wheels as they are still for sale. using it as my daily until i figure out what i want as a cheap daily driver. sadly the CL has to sleep in the driveway now, a rough life she has never known.

not much. i have a few repairs and upgrades to make in order for it to be mint. other than that it is going to stay stock. the truck is all original except for the paint, which is 5 years old and the interior carpet. you can't cut something like this up, so it will stay the way it is.

Great thread, thanks for the details! I just ordered the rear skirt from Acura and will do this first. I will work on the front and sides when the rear is done. Thanks again
