Finally Slammed - Dropped A Full 4" From Stock Height! *Teaser Pics*
I'll have a full blown photoshoot this weekend but for now these are going to have to do. My 2 recent mods are 1) repainting my calipers gunmetal, was getting sick of the red; and 2) K-Sport K-Pro coilovers. I'm not sure how far down on the thread the coilovers are, my installers said they couldn't go any lower on one side but on the other to make it even they had to adjust it slightly or something.
Anyway there was a stock CL in the Acura shop that measured 27.25" from the ground to the start of the fender, and mine after all was done was 23.25"! Car doesn't rub whatsoever, handles AMAZINGLY, zero noise, suspension is set just before full stiff, and handles and drives like a dream. The ride feels just slightly stiffer than stock, I absolutely love the way it drives.
Here are some teaser pics of my CL slammed:

reminds me of mine when it was silver. looks sick man. i like it on the Si wheels.
make sure you get aligned with a camber kit if you already havent. the tires wont last 1000 miles in the front if you dont.

im so glad your car was this low when i saw the pics. im sick of people posting pics saying they are "slammed" and when i see the pics its like a 2.5 inch drop tops. again man it looks really good.
edit:
just to warn you...i think i remember you have aftermarket headers....well the larger diamater makes that the lowest point on your car now instead of the sub frame. so, you really need to be EXTRA careful or you can do some major damage under there. i had to take my headers off and throw them away they were so trashed. OEM is the only thing that tucks in flush under the oilpan. GL.

Thanks for the responses guys! Appreciate it, I absolutely love how it looks and drives.
Can you recommend a camber kit that's at least quiet. I don't want anything that's going to make any noise in cold weather, etc. I knew I was going to burn through tires doing this but I was kind of thinking I was already going to with the Comptech SC going on in a month or two.
Thanks dude, really appreciate the kind words. I absolutely love the way the CL looks slammed - makes it look like a whole new level of aggressive. Really makes the wheels look a lot bigger as well.
Yeah now this is something my installers were saying as well. They were just saying to be careful with the headers and all that with speed bumps and to really really angle every speed bump 100%. I have to drive into work tomorrow morning and clear some speed bumps I'm hoping for the best!

if i were you i would run the ingalls full control arm replacement up front (make sure you get the one to correct for the most aggressive drop) and the ingalls or SPC rear.

Cars look funky if there slammed like that with big fat tires. Maybe some 18 or 19s would make it look better that low. Not a huge fan of slammed cars, for one because of the huge drivablility issue. Atleast since you wanted to slam it you did it right and got full coilovers. Get those camber kits unless you want to buy tires all the time! Get Ingalls, the upper control arms for the front and the smart arms in the rear.

Nice, and I second the motion on the extreme carefulness with speed bumps and aftermarket headers. Mine now make a slight resonce at certain rpms. And one last thing never pull all the way into the parking lot barrier stops, them things will rip your whole bumper off when pulling away.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys, I don't go over any speed bumps AT ALL being this low. I either go a different way to completely avoid them or just don't go anywhere where there might be speed bumps. Yes, it's a pain, but yes, I want to keep the car slammed all the time. I already had some rubbing issues up front so I had to raise the front just SLIGHTLY about 3/4-1/2" and it actually looks better this way. It looks more even with the rear and I softened up the front a little, I had it set to full stiff before.
I absolutely LOVE the ride, personally. People that have been in the car haven't mentioned it being too bumpy or anything like that. Everyone keeps saying "I can't believe a FWD car can handle like this!" So that's always nice. But aside from that it's stiffer than stock, but hugs the road tremendously - the fun factor of this mod is like night and day.
hows the ride? isn't it too bumpy?

Looks awesome, I love slammed cars/trucks.
As far as daily drivability goes - you will fuck up something underneath the car guaranteed. Just be careful and it won't happen as often.

CALLING EVERYONE'S OPINION!
I really can't decide if I should keep saving for the SC or drop a few grand on some Ron Jon Inspyres in silver metallic, 18x7.5, 215/45 tires, +50 offset, etc. Here is what they look like to those of you who don't know:
And here is the picture of them on an Acura:
I really really like the Si wheels, and part of me wants to keep them for performance and height reasons. In other words I don't think I'd be able to stay AS low with the 18's, possibly, depending on the tire size I go with. But in terms of acceleration - I really love the way the 17's feel. What do you guys think? It's either pick these up hold off on the SC or keep saving and do the SC.

I'd would look at it like this
1. You already know you like the SI wheels, dont have any negative feelings towards them ( i think ), they get the job done the right way.
2. They look good, how much more would you like the look of your car with em, would it be worth it to you.
3. You seem to like your car to perform would you be happier getting the SC performance first then going for the wheels? Even then do you want to sacrifice the little bit of performance for the looks. ( I have no idea of the performance hit or if its severe or not)
4. When are you going to post your photo shoot pics from this weekend.
