So does that mean mine is 1 of 15? I dont fully understand that graph. Mines a ABP non-navi 6 speed, prodution # 16031. You mentioned that mine was the last blue 6 speed made, is that still correct?

Thanks for the research, its pretty cool to know.

edit: think i figured out your graph

Thanks for the VIN, unfortunatley the the US Acura Owner's Link site does not have the car in it's database. I have been unable to find anything similiar to Owner's Link for Canadian customers so getting a complete list of the Canadian cars is still not possible.

It looks like there were 6 ABP 6spds made after yours... 4 non-navi, and 2 w/ navi.

Blue Ebony 230 68 298
There were 230 ABP non navi 6spds and 68 ABP with navi (all had ebony interiors).

If you have any questions about reading the graph, PM me...

Do you think this graph could be similar for the '01s? I'm interested in seeing how rare the SMR/Ebony is for '01, and I'm wondering how early/late in production mine is.

I think Red has become a little more popular lately:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=color

Maybe it's 10% now, but back in 2001 it was lower (maybe 7%), but it's really going to be hard to tell without getting the actual data...

Thanks GreenMonster... this is a helpful way to show the data. I didn't realize that the ABP was that rare...

I never liked the taffeta white myself. Too bad because the Pearl White/Ebony is a really nice combination. For the RSX Acura offered Taffeta white on the base model, Type-S had pearl white.

hey, sorry to dig up old threads but this is interesting. im about to buy a an Anthracite CL S 6mt and it has a vin thats not in the list on this thread. the vin is 19UYA41653A800139. i think it might be a canadian model and thats why the serial is not there. also, whats the diference between the 0XXXXX and the 80XXXX serials?

It looks like that denotes that it's a canadian model... I've got 008866.

When I bought mine (new)in April of 2004, there were a few CL-S auto transmissions around but mine was the only 6-speed I could find and it was black which is what I wanted.

I have a Canadian model and it has the 80XXXX series VIN. The bonus is that you get a windshield washer fluid indicator

I am curious as to how many 6speed CL's are left... There have been a lot of accidents and totalled cars posted on the forum in the past few months.

I wonder what the numbers would look like updated in 08 to reflect all the poor CLs that have been reduced to junk yard scrap? Anybody total their 6spd?

Lots of people have here (I'd guess a dozen have posted on the forum here)... most of 'em under 25... and they probably wonder why their insurance rates are higher

I know of one that looked just like the one in your avatar that got wrapped around what may be the only tree in Mattapan MA. It wasn't mine.

yea I got a Canadian 01 Cl-s 800618 is my last 6 digits.

It'd be nice to know what that # actually corresponds to. Never know might just be simple IE... mine is the 618th one in Canada to come out, never know. Most CLs were sold in US, like most cars. so who knows

Awesome info. HohLake did some serious research. Having all this info will help me to spot any fakes in my car search.

The only way to know how many are still on the road is if we catalog them all. Kinda like VINWiki, right?
Ironically, I have the first non-nav, NHBP, Parch in this series according the VIN listing below. I have #6686

6334 6335 2 nav Red Ebony
6336 6341 6 nav Red Parch
6676 6685 10 non White Parch
6686 6699 14 non Black Parch
6700 6714 15 nav Black Ebony
6715 6716 2 non Anthracite Ebony

If any one knows of a 6 speed production number not listed here, let me know.

One interesting thing I've observed from the data is that there is a noticable pause in production between 12554 and 14115. The count up to 12554 is 2669, pretty close to 2700. Did they shut down production because the had reached the limit? Then restart production some time later, due to the fact that 6 speeds were actually selling well? So does that mean I'm missing 31 cars prior to 12554? I've checked multiple times and can't find a missing run of 30 cars.
