Front Strut Brace 5G TLX, 9G Accord compare

Guys, I am doing a bit of research. I work for Ultra Racing USA, the Malaysia chassis brace company.

I am trying to figure if the current OE tower braces from the 9G Accord is the same as the 5G TLX, disregarding the part numbers listed.

**15-17 Accord V6 (T2A)**
74180-T2A-A01
FRONT TOWER BRACE

**15-17 Acura TLX V6 (TZ3)**
74180-TZ3-A00
FRONT TOWER BRACE

2016 Accord V6 9th Gen.
2016 Acura TLX 5th Gen

Ultra Racing tower braces.

These images are from customers who installed on a 9G Accord.

Customer powder coated his brace.

Any updates on this?
I just got a 2018 TLX with V6 SH-AWD and I'd be interested in a FSB upgrade

Did the 4 point brace break? The photos you posted with it on the floor is missing the mounting points. I will also assume the front strut bar could fit but it missing one of the mounting points.

Sorry the update on the front strut brace. The person who tested was "David Squire" who I think is on this forum.

Ultra Racing said that we could get the braces dialed in if we could get a minimum start order of 10 users interested in the project. AKA "Group Buy"

Tested on 2017 Acura TLX AWD, using the 9th Generation Honda Accord.

Made the new mounting points to the Ultra Racing strut brace. Lefts Side

Right Side.

Works with slight mods to mounting points.

Does it have any clearance problem with the hood? Any noticeable different? I'm down for the front and the lower brace if there are no problem for the TLX

Mods to the 9G FSB involve marking & drilling 1 new hole to each side of the brace, all told it took me under an hour.
No issues with hood clearance on my '18 TLX, improves body roll and stability, especially at highway speeds.

My approach:
Find the strut bolt that doesn't have a corresponding hole in the brace and coat the top of that bolt with lipstick.
Now place the brace over the other pre-existing holes, carefully resting it on top of the bolt with lipstick and pick it up in as vertical a manner as possible. I had a friend help me with this as the bar is a bit clumsy to position accurately by yourself.
This will result in a blob of lipstick being placed on the underside of the brace exactly where you need to drill the hole, I used a sharpie to draw a circle around the lipstick.
Then drill a 1/2" hole (I used my drill press for this) where you've marked the bar with the sharpie and fit the brace.
You may need to use a small round file to get the bar to fit precisely, but if you were careful when you placed the bar over the bolts this shouldn't be a significant effort.

There may be a better way to do this (substitute beeswax for lipstick ...), but this is very doable given care is taken with the initial marking of the hole.

I test fitted the 9G Accord 4-point mid brace and it does Not work for the 2018 TLX.
The Shape, Dimensions, and hole placement are all out

That looks to be a FWD TLX in the pictures.
I have the 2018 SH-AWD and it didn't fit my car.

Installed this strut tower earlier today, noticed a bit better when driving in a circle lol. I just noticed tonight that my hood is slightly push up a bit where the bar meet the hood. Is this normal or is there a way to adjust this? I included a picture (copied from above for reference), where the red circle, I had the nut bolted back on, so the base of the strut tower is sitting on top of nut. Should I leave this unscrew or not? I am not sure if I leave this nut unbolt, would it be ok?
