New Shoes = 18" 5 Spoke Rims

- Installed these rims on my TLX today. They are the same size rim that came with the car (18x7.5) so I just swapped over the original tires so my car drives the exact same.
- Also painted calipers Red
- Rims are $608 shipped on ebay. After install and balance, painting calipers, and new locking lugnuts, im in it a bit over 800 and hoping to come close to breaking even selling the stock rims for close to that, so ideally a free mod which pleases my wallet!
- Rim make/model: MSR 48

Very nice - amazing how the rims change the entire look of the car.

Hey,

Looks great, I was thinking pretty much something similar, but something from OZ 5 spoke. I would be going from my 17" standard wheels, which I would now use for snow tires, and the new rims as the other times.

So did you have to get new TPMS sensors?

B.

I would guess he swapped them over from the original wheel along with the rubber.

Yep I just swapped over my original tires and the original TPMS. I spent forever debating which 5 spoke model to get and got these since they were the same dimensions as my stock rims so I didnt have to buy new tires, plus they were really a good deal I may switch to 19s in a few years when these tires wear out but I know 19" tires are significantly more expensive than 18s. But these "machine face finish" looks nice since the rims are really shiny with the black insides they really stand out!

What did you use to paint the rotors? I am thinking about trying the brush on paint in a blue.

Caliper paint. It was about $6 at my local auto parts store (pepboys). Super easy and cheap and really looks great with these rims.

I like it-if you lowered it, they would look even better.
