^^ FUN??!?! That is simply depressing!

Ostrich....I am so disappointed that you would mistreat your baby that way (lol) - Just shitting with you.

So how does she handle in the snow compared to the 4G TL? Similarly? Did you put winter tires on your rims?

ROTFLOL! Weather, I only have one baby in my garage and so she has to put up with all kinds of Canadian weather that mother nature will throw at her!!! LOL!

Yup, these are Michelin X-ice3. I had Michelin X-ice2 on my 4G TL SH-AWD and was very happy with them. So far, the TLX SH-AWD Elite is doing great in the snow but she only had a short trip outside today. Just as confident as my 4G TL SH-AWD. Tomorrow, the commute will undoubtedly be a big challenge for her...

Thank goodness Tuesday is Remembrance Day, so many people are taking tomorrow off too. So there should be fewer vehicles on the road tomorrow... I HOPE!

Hahaha, Ron, you are so funny! I missed my "mild" Ohio weather too (used to live in NE Ohio!)... can you believe that anyone could actually say that NE Ohio weather was GOOD!? ROTFLOL!

Looking on the bright side, don't you love how the white snow accentuates the greyish blue hue of the SSM colour!? LOVE IT!!!

P.S. Now you see why we "deserve" our heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, huh!? LOL

Mine is hiding in the garage - I live down the road from here - the highest borough in Calgary. My XIces go on next week.

Oh boy, you guys do get slammed by weather conditions high up there in the NW quite a lot, don't you!?

Yeah, you will need your X-ice.... but why didn't they put them on for you when you picked up your vehicle last week?

Now, we want to see your baby in the snow soon :-)

So I slithered into work today. Put the car in Eco as I figure that will be best in snow. But boy does it feel like you are driving with a parachute behind you. Hope to have the XIces fitted today, if not tomorrow. Looking at the trip computer, as I always reckon these different settings make no real difference to mileage. I actually got 6.4 l/100kmscoming in to work on friday in Sport driving still slower than I would in the TSX. This morning in eco with no traffic but driving even slower I got 7.4. Took an age to warm up too. Overall mileage wise I am so far way down on what the TSX would do, as in worse. But early days yet. On winter fuel no doubt which doesnt help, new car, probably still tuning itself for high altitude etc. But as I have said before I very much doubt this will match the TSX, except perhaps on highway cruising. Because the TSX was a manual, and a bit lighter. Sure the TLX is an automated manual, but only in 3rd to 8th. Heated steering wheel this morning was awesome!

I am sure we in TO will be joining you soon. But how did you get the car there, as there are note tire tracks, footprints, and no snow accumulation on the car? Do you have an electronic anti-snow gizmos? You could make a fortune with such a device.

a77, my gas mileage this morning was not that great either, but I am sure that it's due to:

1. Slow speed - too slow to be efficient
2. Increase friction on the road due to the snow and salt
3. Frigid temperature - it was so cold that the car took a long time to heat up

So I would not look at the gas mileage this morning as fair comparison.... BTW, you still got pretty good gas mileage this morning, probably because you were still going down the hill this morning all the way from the NW! LOL

Ha ha ha! If you look more closely, there is snow on the chrome trim around the windows! LOL!

The truth was, my car was going straight from my garage to this shopping area which was only 3 minutes away. So I escaped much of that on my baby (TLX!)...

Oh, and don't forget the power of SSM - this colour really hides dirt well! My car was pretty dirty but you would not be able to tell! On the other hand, if it were CBP, it would have been a totally different story.... ha!

Still not clear how you got there with no tire tracks. If the car was parked before the snow came down then there should be some accumulation somewhere, not just that very light coating on the trim.

I am waiting to see how the BCP looks after a bath of slushy sand and salt, but nothing in the forecast for at least a week. The accumulation of dirt on the back bumper after rain does not look any worse than on the bumper of my other white car.

Well played! That color really does look good in the snow.

We're due to get some snow later this week - good thing I installed my all weather mats over the weekend! I'm hoping the stock Goodyear tires do a good enough job.

It could be a long winter for you on those Goodyear tires. Stay off the road as much as possible especially with any precipitation, avoid any hilly roads that are ice or snow covered, and drive in Econ mode.

So the XIce's are on - havent driven yet. Going down the hill the engine temp actually drops. TSX did the same. You'd think the fuel cut off would disable itself until the engoine was warm and then prevent it dropping. Only so much a thermostat can do. The engine is basically air cooled. Should maybe plug it in but can't be bothered. Not that cold in the garage. maybe sport plus would help...

Nice night photo that.

Weather, just you wait until you get this snow from us!!! I hear it's going east and you may just get it really soon!!! LOL! Then you would wish you had all of these VCM, TCS, ABS, ANC, XYZ, LMK, WDS, VCB, DFJ, IWF, HGF, KIW, WTF functions to help you park the car in the snow.... LOL!!!

I am anxiously awaiting for someone to film a TLX SHAWD doing donuts on snow. There must be around 10 videos on youtube of 4G TLs SHAWD going sideways in snowed parking lots

PS. Big Alberta sky in the horizon looks amazing.

Ostrich....Here is your next task, and instead of having Shopper Drug Mart or TD bank in the background, your TLX doing Donuts will need to be in the Tim Horton's parking lot (lol)

I'll take a Sour Cream glazed please....

Love car and color and it's a Canadian model to boot with heated steering wheel ,
heated windshield, rear seats and much bigger washer tank and low fluid indicator. Not available in us model! I'm jealous !

And I am jealous of the US models having full address voice entry for navigation and street name guidance, so they were fair is not pleasing anyone.
