Just figuring if he's been happily single now for a year and a half, he probably goes through a lot of them and would know where to buy in bulk!

so...super cool story....my wheels are finally complete and back to the wheel company that's going to mount and balance them....Stance built the wrong offset on the front wheels! I ordered a et38 and they built an et35. I have to do a little research on here because I believe ill be able to get away with the 35 and not have to wait a few more weeks. I just need to ensure they wont hit my fender or rub at my height.

well, I told them I would accept the wheels as they are. I believe the 35mm will fit. I also have a little bit of wiggle room in the camber with my TEINs if push comes to shove. they said they would give me $50 off my order and have them shipped out by today. wooo. 50 whole dollars off $3800!

yeah...I mean...they offered to call Stance and have them build new wheels on a rush order, but im too impatient for that, considering these wheels will still fit. if they were completely off I would have not taken them. also; they sent me a pic of the front wheel, and even at a 35 offset, the wheels have nearly no concave, which im pretty disappointed about. removing 3 more mm would have only made them flatter or even start to convex. it was a thoughtful choice.

Fuck that, don't settle due to impatience...
and really, that's the vendor eating $50 not the manufacturer eating anything for fucking up.
I'd cancel the whole thing and start from scratch.
If you want concave, you're gonna be mad AF in a few months when you realize you settled!

At least I THINK SO!

it's a custom order. It wasn't one I could cancel. The front wheels were 3mm more concave than I would have gotten with the specs I ordered. I knew the fronts would be pretty flat because of the specs, but I really didn't want to lose 3mm more if I had them remake them.

Can you ask that the manufacturer suck your dick just a tiny bit (between the times your vast arsenal of concubines are working it) to at least make you FEEL a little better about taking it in the ass?
I mean, I agree..you ended up better...more concave than you started off...
rear gonna be as concave as you wanted?

Fuck it...
but still...cut me a deal...custom color on my next set for free or something...

i get what you mean. I guess im just a little too easy going with fuck ups. one thing I forgot to mention, was...when I first placed my order, I ordered them at 35et, but after I spoke with them on the phone, they told me it was made to order wheels, I decided to change them to 38 because I wanted to be a bit more on the cautious side. that's why im not really mad. again, I knew my fronts wouldn't be very concave if at all due to the fact that I didn't want to pull my fenders and go super aggressive. this way, I AM getting 3mm more than I would have with my order-change. I would have loved to get a refund on the custom color, cause that was a $600 option. I haven't seen the rears yet. the guy was supposed to text me a pic (just one of the random warehouse workers) but he hasn't yet. the rears *should* have a nice concave to them while still not having to pull the quarter panels. at any rate, the only way the wheels will be wrong or not how I had hoped at this point is due to my own miscalculations. I did a lot of researching before I bought them so I am pretty confident that I chose the right specs for the fitment I am looking to achieve.

Because I have been where you are. Buy something to save money. Hate it. Sell it, and then go buy what you wanted in the first place

so if I bought what I wanted the first time, I would come out ahead

i have done it with cars
cars I have done it with mods
have the wasted money receipts to show for it

my worst ever was a Lexus CT200h. I sold my mazdaspeed3 to get it to save gas since I was driving 30k miles a year
hated the CT

kept it 11 months and 28,000 miles
sold it at a $7,000 loss

best decision in my life

life is too short to compromise

yMMV

I used to want a CT lol I'm glad I never bought one after riding passenger in one a few months back. Granted it was years ago I wanted one.

I didn't buy these wheels to save money, really. I got them because I legitimately like them. I don't keep cars long enough to spend the kind of money multi piece forged wheels cost. Just my preference/opinion. As I said, maybe when I get my GTR. Something I'll likely keep much longer than 2/3 years.

LMAO, I wanted a ct also...for gas savings.
I got a better one...got a Nissan Frontier for work purposes...hated the gas mileage and how boring it was to drive.
Realized a new EP3 SI could fit my work stuff...traded it in in a month and took a $4000 loss.

Funny how life works out though...I had GAP insurance and I ended up totaling that car and it ate up the loss and the depreciation.
