BWP/Ebony 2.4 Base 2.4 with 245/45R18
Here are a couple pics of my TLX 2.4 with aftermarket 18X8 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3. 245/45R18.

Did you drive it much before the new tires? How do the ride and handling compare with the Pilots?

I drove with the stock 225/55R17 Goodyear's for a week. The ride is about the same but just slightly softer with the Goodyear's of coarse being 55 vs 45 on the Michelin's. So far I noticed better in braking, cornering and no wheel spin off the line like the Goodyear's did. I will use the stock 17" rims for winter with either Dunlop Winter Maxx or Michelin X i3.

It's about the same as stock. Stock OD is 26.8" and now it is 26.7" Could be the angle of the picture. In real the wheel gap is the same.

Hey, I just noticed you only put splashguards on the front. Any reason why? Just for looks? I've seen people do just the back and both the front and the back - so I'm just curious.

I wanted the same overall diameter with a little wider tread and not to low profile for a nice overall ride. This actually is the stock tire size for 2014 Acura TL SH-AWD.

Standard for all Honda/Acura's in Canada. They are in the trunk from the factory and installed at PDI inspection. That's what I do at a Honda dealer up here. General mechanical, PDI and accessorize new Honda's.

I also noticed after I switched to my aftermarkets, I eliminated wheel spin off the line.

just curious after a season how the new wheels worked out. And did you use the stock 17" with Xi3 for winter? If I go with the i4 TLX I want to do a similar thing....better summer tires and use the stock 17 rims for winter tires. Live in New England and sick of sliding around on all season tires. Would appreciate any feedback or recommendations after one year. Car looks great with the rims and tint....all of my Acuras have been white.
