CAI for Dummies

I know there are a bunch of threads on various intakes, but I'm pretty new to mods and aftermarket upgrades. Before I really dive into researching, I have a few questions that I'm hoping you guys can help with.
I have an '18, 4-cyl base TLX. Love my car, just got some new wheels. Anyway, will I notice any real acceleration or HP benefits from a cold air intake? Does it void the Acura warranty? I probably wont install myself, so what I can expect to pay for an install?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any feedback.

You do realize your car came from the factory with a Cold Air Intake; don't you?

I would say no.

I installed one on my 2010 TSX (2.4 liter 4 cylinder) and noticed zero difference in acceleration. A downpipe on that car did make a noticeable difference but the intake not so much.

Sounds like there is no need. I'll research a downpipe now.
Thanks for the info!

Free MOD, remove the engine plastic cover, it traps so much heat and sound in and will allow it to be cooler and probably stop the heat soaking so damn fast.
Fo the intake the only mod to that finds a way to run a straight pipe from the cold air inlet to the filter box or replace the box bottom etc, mod it, not replace slightly for a tiny bump in response etc.
