Fluid Replacement
I have a 2015 4cyl. TLX - just wondering if anyone takes their cars to a third party shop to change out the brake and transmission fluid? Is it worth just sticking with the dealership?

I think if you keep your receipt that you got things done at local shop, it would be okay too, but maybe they'll give you more hassle. I would just go to the dealership and get the tranny fluid done there. I got mine tranny fluid replaced for $99 at my local Acura dealership. For the brake fluid, I think local mom n pop shop would be fine. I don't think I want to pay $130 for brake fluid change at the dealership (that's how much mine was quoted).

Is the brake fluid change a warranty requirement? Normally you don't need to change it more than every 2 years or so.
Transmission fluid is another story. I change mine about 4X as often as recommended because, well, Honda AT's suck

Even on my lease I pay the dealer. They use the proper parts and if there is ever an issue I can say they were the only ones to touch the car. If I bought the car I would absolutely only use the dealer. Did it with my A6 as well. If you scan the 3G threads you will see my 04 had some issues and having a relationship with the dealer service department really helps.
