Thud noise when I take my foot of the brake after a full stop
I drive mostly in the city and I noticed pretty much everytime I take my foot of the brake after a full stop I hear a thud noise comingfrom the brake. I actually tested and canproduce the same noise sometimes on the family car only when I take my foot ofthe brake after stopping on a hill but the noise usually go away after drivingfor a while. Is this normal? Perhaps the car is too new? The car has about 700 miles. Any thoughts?

I had the same thing happening, although not with the same frequency you describe. I'd say it was doing it the first few stops in the morning, and then maybe once on the way home. It seemed to eventually go away on it's own, no idea when though, but i'm only around 3,000 miles now.

a chemical reaction takes place and bonds the rotors.
a healthy stop will wipe away any rust forming.

Try power washing your wheels, wash the rotors and brake calipers. Especially the front wheels.
Just sounds like you got too much brake dust build up. Do your brakes ever squeal?

The noise should go away after proper break-in of the pads to the rotors. See Wagner Brake's webpage for the proper break-in procedures: Burnishing Brakes & Bedding Brake Pads | Wagner Brake
Even after break-in, if the car sits for a while, especially in the rain, the rotors will get a thin film of rust that will result in noise when the brakes are first applied. After a few stops, the rust is worn off and no more noise.

Yes, the Vues are all different colors! The Grey 2006 was mine (bought new) until about 185K miles, when I bought my Acura RDX and gave the Vue to my son. The 2005 is Silver (other son) and the 2004 is Red (daughter), both bought used and going strong.
Those Vues were the least expensive almost-Honda vehicles available at the time! It was really interesting to roll a Saturn Vue up to the Honda dealer to get the timing belt changed; they just looked at me like I was nuts! I had to show the service writer under the hood before he'd accept the car.

I get this in my '14 ILX often. I chalk it up to "Brake Assist".
The guy at the dealership said it was to distribute brake force according to where it is needed but I read somewhere that it was to prevent a vehicle unexpectedly starting to roll when on an incline.
If I let the vehicle kind of roll a little before I hit the gas it doesn't do it but if it's going 1/2mph, it does it.
