Jon,
Did the DRL OEM's twist right out, or were they really stubborn to get out? Were the Nokia DRL's tough to get in? Also, how's the ride on the H&R's since first install? Any settling?

One of the sets I changed was difficult to get in and even harder to take the oems out. It was probably the DRLs. They did go in though.
And ride handling is definitely an improvement. I do want to be stiffer, but springs alone wont account for that so I am very satisfied with the purchase.

I hear fitment can be a bitch with cheaper bulbs.
I just went with some Nokyas though so I cant imagine much cheaper.
But yeah, the DRLs weren't the easiest to twist.

Never thought an ILX could look so good, great job!
These wheels you posted would be incredible...
Ever thought of doing an aftermarket exhaust as well? I suppose it'd involve a custom job on the rear bumper. Always thought the ILX looked a bit tame without exhaust sticking out.
Here's an example:

I'm certain it's different for the ILX but on my 3G I've had really good luck with wrapping the base/tabs with teflon or even painter's tape to make it sit nice and tightly in the opening. I've also found that the bulb WILL go in and twist into place (kinda) multiple ways but for me, the right way ends up being when the bulb is set and locked in place with the downward part facing in and down at 45 degree angle facing the radiator on both sides.

The future definitely holds a custom exit exhaust but I wont be talking about it until the time comes.
Yeah Ive followed the exhaust topics for the ILX so far. I like the quad set up way better than the single exit. I'd almost rather it stock than single exit.
I dont have much of an issue with the hidden exhaust. Id like a loud ass rumble from a car you couldn't tell was the one rumbling.

H&R springs only.
Scrap is just the sti lip. It scrapes on just about everything.
Can't wait to go lower!

No. You can only see the blue reflecting at a head on view. From the sides, or when they are on you cant tell they are dipped blue at all.
I cant stand the amberish tone they were before.
I may pick up the Vleds someone in the tl or tsx section posted recently. Looked super bright and still functioned properly as drls/highbeams.

Took a few more shots once the range was empty.
Here is one I edited with my phone before leaving.
Then went on instagram and found a picture of my car posted by someone visiting the range today. Huge smile ear to ear.
Happily, this wasn't the first time.

More than a new watermark.
And yeah you can probably get any color but it will definitely change the output color. The blue offsets the halogen yellow tone perfectly to make the output color as white as the halogens will go. The blue reflection is kind of cool but I dont like seeing the blue tips... same for my fog lights, I don't like the seeing the yellow tip, hence why im leaving the yellow film on.

Well which mountain? In the second picture that is quite feasible. Ive been up there to take shots like this..
The mountains in the last two shots are in line of fire from the shotgun range and pistol range. Not a great rest area. haha

but they do add a certain level of excitement though, amirite?
yeah, i live in flat florida...i would love something like that in my backyard...
We do have a bike trail at a local park that is called "gun range", it's loud...I once voted that once a week the shooters turned around and shoot TOWARD the trail just to keep things interesting.

Good info right there. I'll be using Tax Return money to buy some wheels so I'll have to save that and wait.

Small update:
Paid off the speeding ticket. Glad that is out of the way; learned my lesson... for like the 5th time. haha :/
Tax return season is right around the corner.
As well as Christmas and my birthday. I dont pull in much money anymore for these holidays; yeah growing old has a few downsides. I will be telling loved ones I need gift cards to Americas Tires to help pay for some rubber once I get the wheels squared away.
Front tint coming off this month for my tint ticket. Lame but has to happen.
I recently scrapped up my front bumper. I walked out of a Jersey Mikes and saw it and at first thought someone else did it and drove off. But at the spot it is I have to blame myself. I must have just barely scraped a curb or something. I never pull straight it though, I always back in so I have no idea when it would have happened.
Oh well, it will just be incentive to grab the oem front valance then redo the retrofitted lip... maybe with another style from another car. :o
I need tp save about $400 to get that front lip on so that is my next step before front tint goes back on.
At that point it should be March-April, I'll get the tint back on and by then be very happy to get it on. And it'll start to warm up and weather will be right to start modding again.

Rainy weather is here.
Did some calling around yesterday and found out my tint/plate ticket will only cost 30 bucks total and that is only because I am choosing to pay to get it removed by the place that installed the tint. If I did it myself it would be completely free.
I guess in Cali now you must go to your local CHP office to sign off fix it tickets. My office anyways doesn't charge to sign these off; or so they told me over the phone yesterday.
So $30 to take it off and probably another $50 to put it back on and she'll be looking back to normal.
Doing all this Monday if my manager is cool with my showing up later.
Can't wait to have those behind me and save for go-fast-parts again.
