Defroster queary

just curious about the defroster, not sure how well they work on a 07 S, i started it up and put on defrost, and cranked up both sides as high as they would go and let it run for about 15 minutes, come out, and still ice and snow on windshield, cleared snow away and off i go, drove 10km to work and the ice was still on the windshield, is this normal for this car ? my cars in the past, GM, have cleared it up pretty good, and when driving, it is cleared up in about 5km.
just curious, maybe i am doing something wrong, or expecting too much.

am just new to the Acura world.
Thanks Al

You're saying you had the windshield heater on for 15 minutes + ~10 minutes and it still didn't clear up?

Not normal.
Check your heater valve and coolant leaks.

yes, on defrost only, for 15 min, didn t do much, doesn t appear to be blowing hard or hot. even in heater mode doesn t appear to blow hard. temp gauge goes to almost halfway, just below the icon on the temp gauge. maybe t-stat ? have to take it in i guess.
Thanks Al

dealer checked it out and said was just fine. i guess if one wants, just waste more gas warming it up, or just drive away and use the washers. pretty lame system for a so called premium car.

I agree! Youd expect a better system! Ugh.
