Yonaka spec 2 coilover issues
So got these coilovers as a Christmas gift from the fiancé. After getting them I did the usual inspection of new parts they look nice no idea about ride quality kind of worried about the14k front 8k rear rates . The issues is after playing with the adjustment knobs I noticed they did not “click” the 28 times the spec 2 coilovers advertise fronts clicked 30,28 rears did 32 and 14! Seeing how this was way off I contacted yonaka the replies telling me the adjusters need to be reset and sent me a video on how to do so.
In the process of resetting them one broke off while loosening it now I am annoyed. I continued to reset the others after doing so I recounted the clicks not much or a change fronts are 29,28 rears are 32,15 basically no change at all. At this point I email them again tell them one broke off and the reset didn’t work,they respond with they will replace the adjuster as a one time goodwill offer and that it is normal for adjustable coilovers to click 27-32 times they still adjust correctly.
this sounds bogus to me how are you suppose to set your ride quality to match properly I will soon start arguing to return them any information on this situation would be very helpful

I doubt any low/mid range coilover adjuster will match from shock to shock.
Example: A setting of "8 clicks" on both front dampers does not mean that both damping forces are set the same. It would be VERY rare for the adjustable damping rates to match from shock to shock.
You set them for "good enough".
You're hoping for way too much if you think they'll match just because they are set at the same number of clicks.

The only way to set the damping force to match is to dyno the shocks and set them at whatever amount of clicks it takes in order to get the desired damping force.
Almost nobody does this except complete nerds whose books I knock out of their hands in the school hallway.
Just set them til they feel good enough.
14K and 8K is agressive. Try putting them on. See how they ride.
Pretty much any short stroke/full body coilover will ride like shit. If that is helpful...

More tips: always adjust from full stiff.
Turn the valve to full stiff. Then click backwards from there.
Do this every single time you adjust. Wanna go from 8 clicks to 9? Turn to full stiff. Then count back 9.
Wanna go from 30 clicks to 32? You guessed it. Turn to full stiff. Then click back 32 times.
