Yeah I'm plenty happy with my free Pandora. I love that my flip Youtube from my laptop to my TV to pump it through my stereo.

Since I only play Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First on my stereo these days, I'm not interested.

I hope people are smart enough to realize this is a sham. Pay twice as much as ad-free Pandora or Spotify? Not to mention Pandora is pretty much free anyways with 'ads'.. no biggie.
Trying to use their images to make people pay more for the same service. If anybody pays for this, they are utter fools and deserve to be taken.

Who else provides lossless audio streaming? Not that it matters to me, but there are a a few audio geeks that care.

1. I'm not sure if I can tell the difference between 192kbps (Pandora) and 320kbps (Tidal Premium) or even lossless (Tidal HiFi).
2. If I could/can, is it worth the extra $65/yr for Tidal Premium (320kpbs) or the extra $185/yr for Tidal HiFi?
3. Tidal HiFi is not currently compatible with my Verizon S4 (Android 4.4.2).
4. Tidal "offline mode" appears to be a nice feature.
5. Does anyone have a voucher code for Tidal?
6. Tidal HiFi (lossless) streaming would equate to ~ 0.5 GB/hr worst case?

Nonsense mostly aimed at the kids to purchase this stuff to be cool.. I have a tidal, I'm soo cool
These "artists" are so worthless. There is so much hidden talent in this world - I hope they will now be more visible since anyone with a brain will continue to enjoy the gifts of beautiful music for free from artists that do not need to fund their multimillion dollar life styles, but those who actually love the art.

I'm interested in hearing what this sounds like when streaming in my car...wondering if I'll be able to tell a difference or not because currently streaming Pandora versus listening to a CD is worlds apart. Will Tidal be closer to the former or latter?

The problem with Tidal is justifying the added $10/mo vs Spotify, Google All Access, etc. I would pay $10/mo but I keep finding deals like Google free for 3 mos, Rhapsody $1 for 3 mos, etc. At any rate, I prefer listening to full albums so Pandora doesn't work for me. I listen to music mostly through my work pc but at a low volume, or in my car via 4G LTE data. Hifi wouldn't make sense for me because I would only use it at home in my sound bar/sub via bluetooth but don't really blast music at home. I can only justify this if you use it for home use at a frequent rate on a stereo that takes advantage of the lossless audio. But for mobile use, tell JayZ to buy ATT and uncap the data because Tidal will it.

I believe lossless>CD in audio quality in the car. You'll have to either kill your data or save the music to your phone in offline mode via Wifi but then your phone storage will get clobbered.

I saw a TV commercial yesterday with A bunch of artists, Madonna was doing the main talking. So laughable!!

Unless you are an audiophile and have the equipment to enjoy hifi audio, you are fooling yourself. I know plenty of people that can't hear the difference between 192 and 320...lossless.

I'd start a trial sub right now to see if I could tell a difference, but Tidal HiFi isn't compatible with Samsung Android 4.3.0-4.4.3.....

I think I read they have a built in comparison to 320 vs Lossless. Some people admitted they couldn't tell or thought 320 was the superior.

Bands, groups, singers have been paid shit for the records since the first one. Touring is where a band makes their money, it's always been that way. Unless the act become big enough and can get better deals, form their own labels.

I use to have a killer home stereo setup back in the 80's. That pure sound could be had with albums, but when it went digital, though the music was clear, it was/is muddle with high end noise.

I know I can't be the only one, but I listen to Pandora almost everyday at work.. for hours at times. And I NEVER hear commercials. I honestly can't remember the last time I heard one. And I don't pay for Pandora

Jay-Z pulled some of his albums from Spotify yesterday. I hope they all pull everything and disappear along with tidal. I can't stand greedy folks. It's bad enough how much they charge for tickets, now this? eff them.

Jay Z has pulled his debut album "Reasonable Doubt" from Spotify, days after launching his own rival streaming site, Tidal.

I got sick of storing music a while back. I was on MOG for over a year before Beats ruined them. Then bounced around All Access, Spotify, Rhapsody. I'm sure Tidal will have a lenghy trial in a few months.
