I know I wont be keeping this POS Palm, it crashes every time I try to go in to read my text messages too fast (I know the key strokes and I enter them ahead of time and it cant handle it). My 700p with Sprint was rock solid, I'm considering dropping att all together and going back to Sprint for a SERO contract.
I hope the 3G isn't another let down...

My phone iBricked yesterday during the 2.02 install. It said it was completed on my Itunes, but the phone was dead. I had to completely restore it which took almost 6 hours!!!!!

Yeah, I had frustrating little issue during my upgrade as well that required a restore. But I got it up and running.

Umm isn't every phone purchase like that? You can use it as soon as you walk out. When I bought my last phone from AT&T it was working as soon as I walked out the door. I think it's funny that those little handheld things the Apple store people use to activate the iPhone and check people out are running Windows Mobile!!

To say that a company "eats its own dog food" means that it uses the products that it makes. For example, Microsoft emphasizes the use of its own software products inside the company. "Dogfooding" is a means of conveying the company's confidence in its own products

I guess to keep it sort of on subject I could ask does Apple use the iPhone exclusively for a business phone? Is the iphone Jobs ONLY phone, many business people have more than one. Compared to a BB an iPhone is still lacking quite a bit in the business features(no doc editing, weak email features compated to BB, etc), so does apple feel they can remain efficient with just iPhones for their employees? I think if they did use only iPhones they may tell us but if they didn't then no way they'd ever say anything.

I'm not trying to hi-jack this thread with this subject but for the most part no, besides for developing Mac software. Why would they? Everything they need is available on Windows. I'm sure the company they pay to make their ads, etc use macs but not them. It's called "eating your own dog food" you use your own software you make on a daily basis. Coincedentally the Wiki page for "eat one's own dog food" spells it out clearly

ok, I know that. MS made the biggest order of G5 Powermacs ever to research for the 360 since it uses IBM RISC processors. I'm talking about productivity, MS doesn't say "We need to do [insert task] we better buy some Macs to do it cause we can't use our own software to do it."

a guy i work with says he can get me a 3g iphone for 100 bucks. He said he just found it. Would I have any issue in activating it?
They have SIM cards so I assume you can just put in a new SIM and upgrade to the iphone plan on ATT...

constantly switching between 3g, edge or wifi. I use Palringo IM alot and that works just fine on edge so usually I'm on edge when I want to use safari I'll switch to 3g and when I get home I turn off 3g if it was on and turn on wifi and plug it in to my charger and there it stays until I go out. Also dim the screen that's probably what kill the battery the most for me cause Palringo won't dim the screen for me so I have to put it to sleep if I'm not using it temporarily. Since it has crippled bluetooth functinality I just leave it off, I have no real use for handsfree headset, i usually use speakerphone while driving.
