Headlight Film

Headlight Film
I was thinking of getting headlight film for my TSX to protect against UV damage. Has anyone done this install without a pre-cut sheet or know what size to get for the headlights?

Burning Brakes
FWIW: I've only used pre-cut film. Have used 3M sheet film, in the past, but it's just not easy, to cut and install, properly. If you check the LAMIN-X website, they offer a full range of Headlight Film Covers, pre-cut to specific cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc., in both clear, and a range of colors. I have done several headlights, using Lamin-x, and have never had an issue with proper fit. Their website, requests, year, make and model, which than provides headlight tint products, and colors available, custom made for that specific vehicle. They are not CHEAP, with an average cost of $59.95, but in my book, they are well worth it.

The inconvenient truth
Why dont you just measure your headlights and then order the appropriate size sheet?
I've done mine with non precut sheets but i have a different car and I ordered the biggest sheet possible because i was using it for a bunch of cars both head and tail lights so i had a lot.
FYI I know you said lamin-x doesnt have the type you want but I highly recommend lamin-x precut sheets because they are way easier to use than anything else and the lamin-x material is way more forgiving than any other. Anyone of any skill level can instal a lamin-x precut sheet and have it look good. Cannot say the same for other materials.

I did want to hear what others have experienced with adding film to their own cars. I won't be home to measure my own lights for a while. One of my foglights is already broken but is still functional for now.

You don't need precut. You'll be stretching it around the corners so a big 2'x2'(?) sheet and an xacto knife will give you the same finished result. I've wrapped a few things on a few cars and it's best to get way more material than you think you need and xacto away the excess.
