they should just remake it with better graphics... Then I'd actually be inclined to play it and maybe even buy a ps3, oh well, too bad playstation can't come up with anygood ideas to make it worth buying aside from metal gear and blue ray. Oh wait, metal gear is coming to 360

Says you.

Here are a few games I think make the PS3 worthwhile:
- LittleBigPlanet
- Killzone
- Resistance
- God of War
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots (although, you can wait, I suppose for the 360 port)
- Formula One

Meh on PS3 vs 360. Way played out

My friend will pick up this game and share it with me. I had played the original and my memory card got fried 40 hours in. I was so pissed I never re-played it.

PC: Final Fantasy VII

Anyone get it?

they fixed typeos in the text.

slightly enhanced graphics

removed bugs

http://truepcgaming.com/2012/08/14/f...e-impressions/

here is a page with some more info.

I will stick with my ps1 and orginal disk copy. i did orginally have the pc version but it became unplayable for some reason.

also I cant find the link but officials said they WILL NOT do a full remake of 7 untill they can make a new one that can beat it (sales ect) WTF? might as well say we dont like money and dont want to admit we cant cut it anymore

I love this game for the nostalgia, but the battle systems in older rpg's feel really dated. Random battle encounters are just annoying. >_<

i like systems like Xenoblade and ARC Rise Fantasia where enemies that are too weak for you try to avoid you although xenoblade monsters have different agression types ie sight sound proximity group family ect...

but i love FF7 story i usually use gameshark codes to adjust battle frequency turn it down very low but increase exp gained makes for a very interesting playtrhough.

if i was to pic a game only on battle systems i would pick

tales of symponia (I play the game with 1/2 exp just to battle)
xenoblade
arc rise fantasi/ skies of arcadia (they are very similar)

in that order

honorbale mention

Chrono Cross

I love the fact that you can grind untill your blue in the face but untill you face a boss you dont level up

^^ Yeah I like the option to avoid battles if I want to. Xenoblade is cool but I stopped playing because I was spending too much time on it lol.

Also, I think that the ability to grind takes any necessary strategy out of the game. No fun! I never played Chrono Cross so maybe I'll give it a try.. love Chrono Trigger! :P

Any other recommendations? Anything recent on the wii or for mac? o.O

well as chrono is my #1 game of all time i would say check it out if you get a chance but try not to compare it to the original or you wont like it. i only started liking it after thought of it more as a spin off than seq.

ARC Rise fantasia is on the wii and i herd last story is good

I reccomend ARC rise the only drawback is the VA is very poor. but you can turn the voices off...

also i like ARC becasue exp is gained based on relative level to the mosters so grinding only takes you so far and ALL the bosses in the game take stratagy to beat. Unless you use a modded wii with gameshark style cheats, Bosses in this game fell like bosses not just enemies with custom music. there is also one dungeon in the game where the ONLY save point is at the entrance....

it also has tons of optional bosses, several of which you cant fight untill AFTER you beat the game...

but you should finish xenoblade... its a really great game.

there is a optional boss with a level of 120!!! (you max at 99)

I love it when games implement ways to stay challenging for those who want more difficulty.
