Is the Switch still hard to find?
Buy some NTDOY? Hit new 52 week high today. Actually, it hasn't been this high since early 2009.

This may be even harder to get unless Nintendo ramps up production a lot
EDIT....
Looks like they are going to kick up production numbers

Nintendo promises ‘significantly more’ SNES Classics than NES Classics — but there’s a catch
No guarantees after 2017
Didn’t grab the NES Classic last year? Your chances of getting an SNES Classic are going to be better. But don’t sleep on the console: the mini SNES may have the same fate as its predecessor.
In a comment to The Verge (and first reported by Kotaku), a Nintendo representative confirmed that the company will ship “significantly more” Super NES Classic Editions than the notoriously limited run of the NES Classic Edition. However, there’s a catch.
According to the statement, Nintendo will ship Super NES Classic Editions from the hardware launch on September 29th to the end of 2017. “At the this time,” the statement continues, “we have nothing to announce regarding any possible shipments beyond this year.”
While it might sound backwards for a business to discontinue a massively popular product, Nintendo isn’t issuing an empty warning. The company discontinued the NES Classic Edition in April of this year, just months after its release. “We’ve got a lot going on right now,” said Reggie Fils-Aimé, president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, in an interview with Time, “and we don’t have unlimited resources.”
Fils-Aimé was referring to the company’s other manufacturing focuses, including the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS family of portables, all of which are regularly sold out in stores and online.
Nintendo’s statement on the SNES Classic concludes with a nod to this manufacturing juggling act:

Our long-term efforts are focused on delivering great games for the Nintendo Switch system and continuing to build momentum for that platform, as well as serving the more than 63 million owners of Nintendo 3DS family systems. We are offering Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition in special recognition of the fans who show tremendous interest our classic content.

If I can't get one of these I just might lose it. I was way more into SNES than NES.

Honestly I think the line-up was better for the NES classic. You could argue the games are better on the SNES classic, but I just feel like there are too many first-party titles, too many games that already sold extremely well on the virtual console...
Also I don't know about anyone else, but what is the point of Super Mario Kart? I just don't see the value in that game since we've had much better versions ever since. Mario Kart is definitely one of those franchises where I would argue it's virtually the same game every time... so what's the point of including it here?

You cray.

Haha, the ramped up production thing is bullshit. Nintendo just can't make enough consoles, it's been happening since the Wii and every console that followed it, including the NES Classic.
Also, no Chrono Trigger, no care.

its not that they can't. It's that they don't care. They are cash rich. They don't have to do anything and they know it.

I will buy it regardless since I'm sure someone will hack it like the NES classic so you can load up a shitload of ROMs into it

where do you get ROMs from? I remember way back in the day... like 15-18 years ago, I used to download emulators and games, but man, they were from the sketchiest sites you can imagine. It only got progressively worse. Are there trustworthy places to get them from these days? Forgive my noobness.
I'd also like to get uniracers and super bomber man. those games were so much fun

I still have my n64, kicking around in a plastic box... I have golden eye, Zelda, Mario kart and a couple other games... though I have zero desire to play it at all. I liked SNES much more... maybe in tens years I'll pull it out again
#32
Might get it if there's a way to load a ROM onto it
However...

Nintendo should re-release the NES Classic but with 5-10 additional games and a longer cord . I'd love to see those flippers still trying to unload their units get screwed.
But I agree with ^^^, I'd prefer to get a N64 Classic.

So pre-orders started today. Unfortunately, everyone sold out of pre-orders quick.

SNES Classic preorders are available today at physical GameStop stores
Aug. 22, 2017
Nintendo is opening preorders for the SNES Classic today, and GameStop has announced how it’ll be handling the mad rush of customers looking to pick up the diminutive retro console: physical GameStop stores will be taking preorders for a $25 deposit. So, if you’re interested in trying your luck in person, I’d stop reading this post and run over to your nearest GameStop now. Supply, as is usual with Nintendo, will no doubt be extremely limited.
The video game retailer will also be offering preorders for SNES Classics at some point later today online. But since this is GameStop, there is, of course, a catch: online preorders are only for pricier bundles that will no doubt include a bunch of extra junk you probably don’t want. Still, at least you’re likely to get the console, unlike the Walmart error last month that ended up getting tons of preorders canceled.
Amazon, Best Buy, and Target have all already blown out preorder stock in a matter of minutes, so GameStop might be your best bet for getting an SNES Classic. Worst case: GameStop says that it’ll have more stock available on September 29th, in the (likely) event that you don’t get your preorder locked in today.
