drats. I don't doubt that. they don't have the PC version ready, which will basically be the "same" as the PS4 version. guess I'll have to buy the PS3 version. because I do want to play it sometime soon.

I found out yesterday that the cops actually get pissed off if you break the law in V. In GTA4 you pretty much had to either kill someone or hit a cop car for them to give chase. Last night I was rolling around on a stolen sportbike and saw two motor cops parked on the side of the freeway. I rolled up next to them, one got off his bike and stared me down so I did a massive burnout right in front of them . He started yelling crap and when I didn't stop he pulled his gun to arrest me haha.

on FB:
people seriously think its a kid's game???
Just passed GameStop and saw a line wrapped around the block for GTAV...crazy part was that half the ppl in line were kids with their parents.

Goodbye.
Bad parenting. This is why society will fail.
Have you guys seen that video of a father giving his 10 year old kid GTA V? The kid was crazy happy. Watch as that father blames GTA V for how his kid turns out later.

for XBOX users, Rockstar is telling us NOT to install the 2nd Disc as doing so will degrade performance. They are recommending installing the 2nd Disc straight to USB or not at all. This is what happens when you try to run a high-resource demanding game on a 7yr old system.
I know Grand Theft Auto V has an 8 GB mandatory install. If I want to install the Play Disc too, through Xbox Home (dashboard), is that possible?
For optimal performance, we recommend only installing the Install Disc, and not also installing the Play Disc to the Xbox 360 Hard Drive or USB drive via Xbox Home (dashboard). You will be prompted to install the Install Disc the first time you boot the game.

I've been playing games like this and other mature rated games since I was like 10. My parents always told me there is a difference between reality and my games (obviously) but the point was, you don't do shit in real life like you would in games.
Games are just for fun.

Ducked out to get my windows tinted earlier...have the privilege of staying late . Oh well.
And I've been playing "bad" games, watching "bad" movies, and listening to "bad" music since I was a little kid (I can remember back to 8 easily). It's all about teaching your kids how to act, regardless of what they see/hear in entertainment. LOL I remember playing Leisure Suit Larry ...it was my dad's, and totally inappropriate for me at that age, but damn it was fun!

Idk, I mean, if I had kids, I'd wait a bit longer before letting them play something like GTA but I wouldn't be the one making them wait to turn 17 to get it.
It's just getting them to realize there is a huge difference and you cannot do the things you can in a game, in real life.

Some of the kids in my line were standing around smoking as well. Laughed when some older fellow asked why they were here getting the game & acting bad by smoking.
They found coding for it, but it's recognized by the PS4's early codename instead which many assume they originally planned to do develop it.
No word on a PS4 version, but it more than likely will not be out for some time. Rockstar had already said they believe they will survive the next gen. console launch by a launching a current gen. title. Can't see them going around that as it would also piss some fans off.
I would reckon in like 6-12 months. The game's relevance would have dipped tremendously by 2 years. We'll see, though, as I will be buying a PC edition as well.

good point about the current gen - why would Rockstar put $265M into this game and then right after that also make a PS4 version. There would be a large number of people who would wait for the PS4.

Are these still on shelves? I wonder if most places had enough extra copies. I haven't played a game in a long time but may have to go pick this up.

Call ahead and check. I'd imagine a game like this they would order enough extra copies.

Goodbye.
For those wondering if you can still use cheat codes in GTA V like in previous GTAs. Yes, you can! (but as usual, achievements and trophies will not be credited during cheat code play sessions).

Goodbye.
I can already tell that the replay missions ability is going to drive me crazy. I hate the fact that I have a tendency to always want to get 100% gold on everything, but love that I can replay missions to do everything different and see different outcomes.
Damn you GTA V!

That was uncalled for...
It's been years since I've sat in front of my TV and played a console game all night. This game freakin' rocks.
Map seems endless, gameplay is excellent, storyline so far is engaging.
If there was one criticism I had, it's that I find there are a lot of controls to remember. Several buttons serve different functions depending on if you're walking, riding, driving, swimming, flying... I can't tell you how many times I've fired a gun outside of my speeding cars window when all I wanted to do was change the radio station

Played it lastnite..Is it just me,or is this game not harder to drive around then the others...I wreck my car like crazy due to the realistic structures around..Cops are more aggressive as well with their radars to find you.

I'm not overly impressed with it. Just like IV, there's a bunch of crap and no rock/metal. You have well over a hundred songs and can't find 15 rock/metal songs? Really? Vice City was the last GTA with a great soundtrack; San Andreas was good (too many lame alternative songs kept it from being great). It's not rocket science...one rap station (which they always nail), one rock/metal station, and then do whatever else you want.
That didn't turn out so well for me...went in the back, got attacked by security, pulled my gun, got shot instantly .
I can't even get a haircut . The guys outside talked some shit to me, so I beat them down. I kept beating down people from their crew until I was surrounded by five and curb stomped. Went back later, and they came at me when I got out of the car. Beat a few, ran a few over, then had to run from the cops. Third try I walked around them, but they followed me in, hit me in the back of the head, and the game said the barbershop was closed and to come back later . I pulled the shotty, handled business, and again, ran from the cops.
The cops seem to be very sensitive. The least little thing I do generates a wanted level, and they're all over it. I tried to hide in my house one time. They didn't see me go in because they were nowhere near when I went in, but somehow they knew I was inside. Came right into the house after me. That's when I learned a dead cop leads to a three-star wanted level and they bring out the chopper, which shoots at you along with the guys on foot.
Maybe I should stick to missions and towing cars for the crackhead.

Yeah dude, cops are no fuckin joke this time around, and at my current level it's a bit of an annoyance. I think I had 2 stars last night and they rammed the shit out of my car, shot at me, tried to PIT maneuver me, for 2 stars!!!!

I'm not a fan of the soundtrack at all. The driving takes on getting use to, the first car we got to drive I tore that shit to pieces lol. I delivered a frame on wheels to the dealership
After a few missions I'm much better. The game pulls you in. The amount of missions and the map are overwhelming but I can see myself playing this game for over a month nonstop. Nice.
PS I wish there was a PC version as these xbox jittery graphics is not to my likings. I feel like I'm watching the Dr.Katz cartoon.
