Nice, Sandin! What does '09 do for your '04?

Thank you sir!

There is a noticeable increase in low-midrange torque and a change in the sound of the engine when it runs on the high cam. The transition from low to high cam is smooth. I will know soon if there is any fuel economy improvement from this...

NIce, very nice mod for the tsx, not sure the 2g tsx could benefit as well. Had mine done at NA Performance, Ventura and this is absolutely best bang for buck mod along with the flashpro and headers.

Not everyone wants to put a k24z intake manifold on a k24a2, but I did...

First you have to note the differences in injectors. As it turns out, a lot of Honda motorcycles use the same connectors for injectors as our k24a2's do, and a cycle shop in NJ had the mating connector custom manufactured...

so you just make some injector adapter cables so you don't have to change any of the factory wiring. Note that re-pinning these connectors like people do to put RDX injectors in these cars is not an option due to the differences in pin latch and dimensions...

The bolts match up, but the ports on the k24a2 are smaller. It turns out that a carbide burr set with 1/8" shanks + a Dremel is all you need to make a perfect match. I used marking paint and a precision scribe to trace the pattern with the injector base in place.

Note that you will have to not only plug that unused EGR port, but you will need to JB Weld that whole area flush or coolant will leak. The way the coolant ports and gasket lined up, you will need that tiny recess to be flat.

From the previous episode, you may remember that the intake cam an cam gear were already installed. The VTC was pinned to 40 degrees to prevent v2p.

So there you have the an throttle body, intake manifold, injector base, injectors, intake cam and cam gear all designed to work together:

Yes, this is the manifold people are chucking in favor of the RBC/RRC.

If you are looking for peak HP, don't do this.

If you are looking for more torque and more fun daily driving, this is for you.

This is one very torquey and responsive k24a2.

It may not be screaming at 7k, but I'm doing that 0.00001% of the time.

This puts the power where I use it, and I couldn't be happier.
