Accord still got it! vs. 2016 A6

The Accord really surprised me last night. Ever since I took my cutout off and have been running with the stock exhaust, it just isn't quite the same. I had dyno'd with cutout open/closed awhile back and if I remember correctly, there was a 25whp peak difference, but over 30whp above 6500 RPM. Anyway....

Ran into an A6 on the way home last night and we had some wide open road. We never actually lined up side by side, but we got in 2 impromptu runs. First run he was a couple cars ahead and I actually just punched it because I had a feeling he was game. And sure enough he did. I'm assuming we hit it around the same time because I had a slight pull all the way up to ~120 or so from 65. Next run was a silly run, from 85-130 and I pulled slightly again, even missing 5th. He flashed his lights and got off at the next exit.

I miss that adrenaline rush as I rarely get it. But I know the Accord still has it!

Nice Sonnick! I had a new A4 try to blow by me a few weeks back, but I was able to stop his pull and walk away. They're definitely faster than the last generation. Last night I went at it with a modded G37 coupe and we were dead even 50-120. I've had tons of runs lately, but it's so dead here, I don't bother posting. Got smashed on by a B5 S4 awhile back. I could put up a good fight from a 20 roll till about 75-80, then he was gone. Also ran an F10 550i and surprisingly, I could keep my front bumper on his rear door 65-100, then he started pulling hard. I had just walked a 535i and an f30 328i shortly before that, so it didn't hurt too much. besides, twin turbo V8 vs all motor V6, lol. MK7 GTI's are giving me trouble with light mods! Lots of WRX, SI and Charger R/T kills, so it's all good.

MK7 GTIs are FAST. Stock I believe they are ~99mph cars, but with light mods they can easily go 104. Bolt ons/tune I think they are trapping near 112, which is nuts. 535i is a good kill and nice work with the 550i! Your car is quick man.

I was reading about the new A6 and apparently it traps 105, so I'm not sure if he had a passenger or what. I couldn't see in the car. They were really good runs though. The 2nd run we were side by side (I missed 5th though), I was only able to pull slightly where his front bumper was at my rear seat/quarter panel.

After my cutout was gone, I really haven't done any runs at all. Been pretty low key. I do miss the rush of being at the track after the tree lights up though!!! Maybe in a few years I will get another car to mod (though if I get the RDX it's a given I will get at least a Jpipe ).

I really wish my DR tires were good back when I had the cutout installed. I never got a chance to run on them with the new gears. I think I could've ran a 12.9x in fall weather.
