[Video] G37S 7at vs '13-'14 Roush RS Mustang

Just a dressed up V6 mustang. Sounds very rowdy. Almost V8-ish. Can't hear it in the video below but definitely noticeable in another video I have.

Had 3 'short' runs that all ended early due to upcoming traffic. Had 1 'good' run that was worth uploading for viewing.

In the last 'short' run we started off at 60 and I was in the wrong gear. I was in 4th instead of 3rd.

By 80mph he was exactly 2 car lengths ahead of me. This was the only time I saw his tail lights during any of the runs. That was as far as he got. By 85mph I started to close the distance and catch up. By 105 we were side by side. I had to let off due to cars up ahead. He kept going wide open throttle because his lane was clear.

I can tell that if we continued to keep going I could have shown him my tail lights because when we got side-by-side I could clearly see my car start to easily pull away.

It seems like the 3.7 in the mustang runs out of steam around 100-110 whereas the VQ37 pulls to 130 without a problem. I am sure it has to do with gearing because the 3.2L 5AT TL also hits a wall at 110 thanks to 4th gear.

I couldn't tell if he was Auto or Manual.

Had 1 'good' run that was open road with no cars in sight which is the video below.

2014 ROUSH RS Mustang <-- More info about RS Mustang.

His was not a convertible. It was a coupe.

I let off when I hit 115 and hit the brakes when I was going 110.

Nice run. You got some distortion going on there or was it because the Roush exhaust was soo damn loud

What dash cam are you using? Blackvue??

Thanks. The distortion was from wind noise. The passenger window was rolled down and wasn't rolled up until halfway through the run.

The front camera is a Thinkware F750 the rear camera is a Thinkware X500
