another thing is that the oem cats, are VERY robust and can probably support the engine on their own...and most people swapping motor mounts are probably so modified that they have some form of high flow/pcd cat that isn't built as obese (weight savings) so we end up creating the issue with that perfect scenario...more power, less support, then hard mounts.
I think the ETD with firm mounts will be a good set up to save the exhaust.

I read over the thread again and I guess they go inside somehow to adjust the stiffness, I installed it and drove around no problems but I didn't know I needed to use the 2 washers on the oem bolts to the bracket.

The shock and the damper are the same thing. You're replacing the stock black engine "shock," or damper, with the new silver NRG damper (aka shock).

^^^ I assume the second (black) bushing is just an extra in case this one wears out? Or maybe it can be used inside the damper for a softer setting? I am unclear, but I like how the car drives now so I'm not worried about it.

Nevermind, I got it. for some reason I thought I had to work from the top. Went underneath the car and It's easy to access, you just need an 18" long ratchet. To adjust the damper, do I tighten the fisheye bolt or the bigger bolt in the body of the part?

Ideally you want them both adjusted somewhat equally. You don't want one screwed in all the way while the other is hanging on by a couple of threads. Like in this picture -
