Leaking power steering fluid

My SC belt dug into the power steering pipe. Now it’s making bad noises as I turn the wheel. Will it be safe to drive home?

Depending on the leak, but you should be fine to get home and make the necessary repairs. Air has gotten into the pump which could lead to pump failure.

Shoot first, ask questions later, Right?
Do it and then post the outcome

Worst case, the power steering pump dies and you'll have a more difficult time turning the wheels. The pump is easy enough to get at... should only take about an hour to replace, with most of that time being for replacing the serpentine belt. Replace whatever is broken and you should be good to go.

Its “Shoot first ask questions last”. I like to say it with grammatical error for style points.

Power steering pump and system running well after some duct tape finessing.

Zeta, I finally went to home Depot and bought the right size 10 wrench to take off the nut. Check out the apparatus it took. Final surgery result looks great with new thermal cover on the power steering pipe!
