When you say BBK do you mean the TL w/ Brembo calipers? If so yes.

I don't think ROTORA has done the BBK rotors yet with that new ecoating. There is still an ecoating on those rotors that is on the hub and and the vanes. It is a black coating. This is an additional coating on the face of the disc.

ROTORA will eventually set up their caliper so that those who buy 1 pc rotor BBK's can also upgrade to the 2 pc disc but that isn't possible yet. You would have to see your setup and buy a 2 pc setup or you could just replace the rotors with another 1 pc disc. PM me with your vehicle info, BBK info, and zip code and what you need and I'll get you a quote.

Last I spoke with ROTORA they did not plan to make one. It wasn't off the table but not planned as I said. Stoptech however makes a front and rear kit. PM me for pricing.

is it possible to just buy parts from rotora from you such as the capiler later on? My friend wants to know this before he invests in a set? He wants to know this because he had some problems with a different company on his other car and it was a damaged capler. They did not have parts anymore and told him he needed to buy the entire kit again and doesn't want to have the same problem again. Also he wanted to know if he could use a Rotora rear kit and a stoptech front kit as stoptech does not have a rear one.

Yes ROTORA does sell "Service parts", which are replacement pieces for every single part of their BBK's. You may use a ROTORA and Stoptech kit together but I don't see why he wouldn't just do ROTORA F&R. ROTORA has a tendency to have a forward brake bias like the stock setup, whereas Stoptech has a rearward bias. So yes they can work together but they develop their systems based on different theories. If you need either kit let me know. I sell both.

I am thinking about a BBK since i have money saved up and need new brakes soon.Just a few questions I have:
1. I have heard that rotora BBk's can cause the master cylinder to break or fail. Is this true?
2. Will any BBK cause premature wear onto the master cylinder?
3. Are there any spec sheets/data that shows the improvement of braking with a BBK?
4. I have factory brakes on my 04 and they are pretty "touchy" that if i tap them, the can bring the car to a halt. will this still occur with the BBK?
5. Does the installation of a BBK require a fluid change? I am due for one soon so it is well worth knowing now.
6. Does stopetech also have replacement parts?
7. What do you mean by forwards and rearwards bias? I get a little confused.
8. can stoptech/Rotora kits be painted by the manufacturer to a specific design (such as acura written instead of Rotora/Stoptech)?

Thanks

1. I have never heard that and I have never seen that. I have sold and installed dozens of ROTORA BBK's and I have nothing but great reviews.
2. These kits are designed to work with the stock master cylinder.
3. You may email ROTORA for data on this but I don't have any sheets on this. I don't see how sheets could prove anything but I can give you real life experience and tell you that the ROTORA kits have plenty of leverage and will decrease stopping distances.
4. Yes.
5. Yes it requires you bleed the brakes. It may not be a full fluid change but I would recommend one while there.
6. I will have to ask Stoptech tomorrow about service parts but I would assume they would. It wouldn't make sense not to.
7. When you brake with a ROTORA BBK you will feel a front brake bias like you do with the OEM setup. When you brake with a Stoptech kit the car leans rearward and kind of squats.
8. You can get custom caliper colors but I assume we can just have nothing put on there and you could put on an Acura sticker. I will have to talk to both tomorrow to ask.

Yes they do. It is $1750 shipped, like the front 4 piston 2pc disc kit. I actually have a 2 piston kit rear BBK in stock w/ red caliper and slotted/drilled rotors that I am clearing out for $1275 shipped. It's usually $1475 shipped.

How much for the 2 piston rears shipped to FL for the 2000 tl with 2 piece rotor and can I get it in black? Can you get crossdrilled by itself or only slotted alone?

Whats the lead time on that?

$1475 shipped on the rear BBK. It can come in either sky blue metallic or red caliper with a slotted or drilled and slotted disc. If you want black it will be custom order with an additional $300 custom caliper charge for the color and a 60-90 day lead time.

The brake shimmy

I am in the market to improve the shimmy in Acura's brake system. If I upgrade to a bb kit front and back, will it eliminate the shimmy in the brake system.

Well if you have warped rotors you don't need a BBK to eliminate the shimmying however a BBK will eliminate it. All you need is an OE replacement rotor like a ROTORA slotted or drilled/slotted rotor.
