I will toss another grand into the money I want to spend on brakes and go buy myself a Sony SXRD for the football season.
There is competition: Brembo, ROTORA, Ksport, Stoptech. ROTORA is still the best bang for the buck. Try looking for a used BBK if you want to save more $.

More than likely yes. I can't say for sure. I could send you a file that allows you to confirm. You have to cut out a diagram similar to the caliper and take off your wheel and see if it would hit the diagram. Worse case scenario you buy a 5-10MM spacer.

Well it depends on the vehicle and the BBK. The 1 pc BBK is the 330X23MM whereas the 2 pc BBK is 330X30MM. To give you a reference, though, at least for the 1 pc BBK, the 99-03 TL and 01-03 CL require a 5MM spacer on the OEM wheels. I think you really only need 3 MM but they don't usually make spacers that small. The 04+ TL does not require a spacer for the 1 pc BBK with the OEM wheels.

It needs to be a ROTORA pad specifically designed for the ROTORA BBK. PM me your year, model, zip code, and what you want and I will get you a price.

Joshua,

When said that the BBK 1pc fits the 04+TL OEM wheels... did you mean the 17" or the 18"????

Thanks

I haven't personally installed on the OEM wheels but I read on the forums that a customer had the 1 pc BBK installed on his car and he was using the stock 17's.

More than likely yes. I can send you an excel file which you will have to print and cut out to verify if you would like.

is there a large difference in brake force distribution between :

13" front BBK / 13" rear BBK
and
14" front BBK / 13" rear BBK

?

i'm projecting to buy fronts first, but i'm afraid to be disappointed about the balance if i get 13" front first, and after a while, putting rear 13" : that i should've taken 14" for fronts.

any input/review on this ?

thanks !

To be honest I think the 14" kit is a little overkill unless you're doing a lot of track time. The 13" kit will be more than enough to stop the car. The kits are balanced and the 13" rear BBK will work perfect with the front 13" BBK.

For OE size rotors or Big Brake Kit rotors the options are slotted only or cross-drilled and slotted. There is no cross-drilled only.

Do you have crossdrilled rotors (rotors only, F&R) for an 06MT Brembo setup? Can't seem to find them anywhere at all.

Josh i think i am ready to get Rotora BBK's. Could you please send me the Excel file you were talking about so i can research..

I have 2006 TL (if you rememeber, u did my coils/rsb 2 months ago). In the summer i run 19 x 8.5" + 42MM. They are the same EXACT specs as the ron jon inspyres. Think it will clear?

i noticed you said that 14" is much

is 13" front * rear more then (overkill wise) the just 14" upfront.

I have to be real honest, the stock 5AT brakes are HORRIBLE. i need a resolution. especially if i become s/c

Thanks josh

Allon shoot me an email: Excelerate@sbcglobal.net

Request the info you need so I can send you a chart/file on the BBK's. I would think the kits would clear fine. I know RJ designs his wheels based on the ROTORA BBK fitment.

Just a Note: ROTOTA FITMENT FILE

Once you print the pdf fitment file from Rotora PLEASE verify that the dimensions were to SCALE... when I initially printed it, the dimensions were off by 9%... so I changed my printing options and set the file to print at 109% and everything worked out... remember that the dimensions are in milimeters (mm) and there's 25.4 mm to an inch = 25.4mm=1in

Same price as the drilled/slotted setup. I can order the slotted setup on my next stocking order. It will take a few weeks to get it.

Well I won't order that kit unless you send payment for it or at least a deposit. It is not a kit I typically stock so you would have to order it for me to order it.

Im really interested in buying these, but I have a couple of questions

1. What is the difference between 1pc and a 2pc set?

2. What is the advantage of getting just slotted rotors instead of slotted/drilled rotors? and getting drilled rotors instead of slotted/drilled rotors?

1. The difference between the 1 pc and 2pc BBK is that the rotor. The 1pc rotor is one piece of an iron composition. The 2 pc rotor is an aluminum hub with iron disc.

The 2-piece rotor does have its advantages:

- Aluminum hat w/ iron disc
- Cool more effectively due to less restrictive air flow
- Less prone to distortion/warping due to hat being separate from disc
- Hat can be reused so less cost on replacing rotors

2. If you have the slots you don't need the drills. The majority of BBK buyers do drilled and slotted b/c it looks nicer.
