All set for the winter with the Pirelli Sottozero 3 tires. Looks like our unseasonably warm weather is coming to an end next week.

No hub ring required. You can purchase from one of many online sites. If in Canada, I recommend CanadaWheels.ca

I had Pirelli Sottozero 3s and the Continental Viking Contact 7s. Both were great tires on the Type S but I think the Sottozeros had slightly better dry weather traction.

Anyone know what is the recommended tire pressure for the Sottozero 3's? My install didn't come with the spec sticker.

Any recommendation for alternative tire sizes for 19? A preferable shop does not have any winters in 255/45/19. But there are couple good options for alternative 245/45/19. Any concerns going with those?

Are you sure it does not require centering ring ? Hub diameter is 64.1mm and hole diameter is 72.6mm according to FAST WHEELS website...

If the hub diameter is 64.1mm and hole diameter is 72.6mm, then using hub rings is the proper way to go.

It kind of looks like a manufacturing error to me... if you compare the two rims below 18" and 19" , on a 19" rim the counter bores are way oversize for the nut size , machined on a incorrect pitch diameter (not concentric with the studs) and cutting into a center cap bore...poor machining and yet it passed quality control...just my opinion.

Good question! I assume we set the pressures to what's listed on the door jam? The TPMS would be set to that anyways.

In general, are there different tire pressures for different rim/tire combos?

What tire size are you running? The rim looks bigger than mine but the tire sidewall smaller. Weird.

They look great though! I goofed and should have bought the bronze version. They would have looked awesome with the blue!

The tire pressure is set by the factory according to the weight of the vehicle, the front to rear weight distribution of the vehicle, and the handling characteristic of the vehicle, for the existing size/width/aspect-ratio of the rim/tire combo.

Therefore, if a new rim/tire combo has the exact same size/width/aspect-ratio parameters as the stock set, the recommended pressures printed on the door jam label should be used.

Got them from a local shop where I've been getting my wheels and tires from for a long time now. They're in Markham.

Yeah, I love the bronze version. They're awesome. The tires are 245/45/18.

Yes, that makes sense. But when I go to https://tiresize.com/pressure-calculator/ the PSI that should be set to equal the load rating of my OEM tires is different. For example, to match the same load capacity on my winter rims, I only need 31 psi on the front, instead of 36 psi.

Cool! I like the look of your 45 series sidewalls vs my 50, but I do prefer that my car rides slightly higher in the winter. 6 of one, half a dozen the other I suppose. In case you were wondering, here are a bunch of details:

I bought a spare set of y spokes and some snow tires. These wheels look awesome. I didn’t want any ugly 17/18” wheels a fat sidewall. Gotta pay to pay

I found out that these are two different wheel models. The top is the FC04 and the bottom is the FC04A. The 'A' denotes wheels which can be drilled to different bolt patterns. That's why the bolts on the bottom wheel are off center.

The top picture is a 5x120 bolt-pattern wheel drilled with a 5x120 hole pattern, whereas the bottom picture is a 5x114.3 bolt-pattern wheel drilled with a 5x120 hole pattern.

Do a search on the forum, there was a member who bought the same off-center (5x114.3 wheel with 5x120 holes) wheels. He said the nuts kept coming loose and also the nut seat area on the wheels were all messed up due to the nuts not able to seat dead center inside the holes. Definitely not safe to drive on.
