I didn't know about the Android Auto / USB music issue until I brought home a MY2025 TLX and played around with all the infotainment settings. It is really frustrating that the infotainment system is not programmed to do AA wireless and USB.

Anyhow, question for you guys who use AA. What android music player app do you use to play your MP3/MP4/FLAC files from your phone? I found someone suggested Poweramp from the MDX forum. Any other apps worth trying?

I would only be using this when I need to also use Google Maps for navigation.

 

I use Media Monkey for local files on an Android phone, it has a simple UI on Android Auto. I also used this application because i also have a Media Monkey library on my home server for local music files.

 

Audify works for me...

 

I'm too old to care. I use a wireless 🛜 device

 

Poweramp (paid) and Omnia (free). Poweramp is much more customizable, and is my go to now. Honestly I never compared the sound quality of the 2 apps nor compared wireless to USB. Not sure my ears are good enough to tell any differences.
