The Official Canadian 2021 TLX Pricing Thread
#81
We should likely use pretax numbers as our tax rates are generally quite higher than some US states, and also vary a fair bit across provinces.

Just priced an ASPEC and Acura wants $798 txs incl on a 48 months lease rate. Yeah, Acura has officially drank the cool aid. Sorry it is not 2004, sedans are in a shitter. I know this is all new Gen but let's get real here. In comparison, I just priced current G70 top spec trim which will blow the doors off this thing and taxes in Genesis wants $720.

Leatherette
The Canadian brochure says the 2021 TLX-Tech and Base models both come with Leatherette seats. I think the TLX-Tech here in the USA come with "Perforated Milano premium Leather" (ie, real leather).
I wonder what Leatherette is and how long it is warrantied for?
I guess they are the same or similar to the Cloth/Leatherette seats on the Accord Sport 2.0T ?
Anyway, interesting change. While we know the (more expensive) Canadian models are built with different features, most are instead upgrades.

All real leather seats are coated with some form of plastic anyways.

It seems that there is no mentioning of the "power folding side mirrors" feature for the 2021 TLX in the Acura.ca website.
Does Acura yank out this feature at the very last minute for the Canadian TLX ?

Yeah, I was also looking for it and could not find it. I'm pretty sure it was there before. I'm seriously losing patience with Acura given that Aspec is close to $800/month on a 48 month lease, you know Type S will be pushing $900 if not more. With that, might as well look at S5 Sportback. Dare I say, I predict the Audi to be more reliable as they had few years to perfect their powertrain vs all new in Acura. You can bet there will be some issues with the Type S.

I'm a bit of a detailing nut so I've researched the best products for cleaning leather seats. Turns out using leather cleaner/conditioner is a waste of money because (unless you're buying a Bentley or super exotic car) the leather is coated with some type of plastic.
There's a ton of information out there on the subject - here's one example:
Automotive Leather Upholstery ? DetailingSpot
"The simple fact is that the majority of leather used in today’s automobiles is protected leather – this type of leather has a pigmented ‘color coat’ with a polyurethane/acrylate ‘top coat’ specifically designed for automotive applications"

Now that the 2021 specs and ordering information is available in Acura.ca, I guess the 2021 Canadian TLX won't have the "power folding side mirrors" feature after all.

It was in the Acura Canada news release before the Acura.ca website is updated with the 2021 TLX model information.

that's correct. I saw it when the sales rep closed the doors, the side mirrors turned. I can confirm this. The car looks amazing from inside and outside. Of course, there are some things that I did not like. One thing that really bothered me was the door material .

Which trim? I thought the Advance door trim looked better than the A-Spec door trim.
#98
the advanced model is great. The wood looks very premium. Overall, i believe the advanced model stands out and a better final product than A spec. On the contrary I like the A spec of the RDX over the advance.

I wonder if this was brought up in another thread already - why isn't that lovely red colour not available in the non A-Spec trims at all? They seem to get the red in the non A-Spec trims in the US but we don't get that in Canada! YIKES!!!
Even for the Platinum Elite trim, there are only 6 colours to choose from.... just the usual greys/blue/blacks/white.... I so wished that there were more choices!

Anyways, to everyone else other than this guy. I think you all understood I'm talking about actual prices offered by the dealers.

Man you made my day. Offering me such great advice! Thank you good sir. I didn't know how to scroll up and I always thought I could only see prices from forums, didn't realize there are other websites. Do I type www. before Acura.ca? Hold on, can we visit dealerships and get prices there??

My Broker just got me an M340i for $670 a month 36/12 with 0 down TTL due at signing. Car is being built now. Has every option except the lane change nannies, but 360 Cam, Heads up, Heated Seats etc all there. Also having Port installed M Performance parts put on (Front Lip and Side Skirts). Acura is on drugs.

Yes Sir, thank you, I think I've watched every M340i video on youtube. Here's the Exact Spec I got. Might be too much black for some but I had to have it like this.

Apparently not! One could get the red in Advance (or Platinum Elite in Canada speak) for the US model but NOT in Canada!!! Very annoying.....

Lol, it’s crazy. All the colours for the Platinum Elite are on the colder end of the spectrum. Not a single bright colour available at all. It’s another one of those maddening decisions that Acura keeps making to seemingly prevent people from buying this car.

Remember for the 2019 RDX, they had the lovely red colour for the Platinum Elite? Now it is no longer available in Canada for the 2020 and 2021 RDX, with the exception of the A-Spec model! All we are getting now are these greys, white, black, blue for the RDX and TLX.... BORING! So annoying....

The real problem is you can turn a Platinum Elite into an A-spec, but you can’t turn a Type S into a Platinum Elite. Annoying indeed!!
