2021 TLX ADV SH-AWD: Heated Sport Steering

Has anyone installed the heated sport steering wheel in a 21 TLX advance pack?

I’m wondering if it will come without a badge similar to the regular steering wheel. As much as I like the other trims, I don’t want to fake the funk by having a-spec or type s badges in/on my advance.

I also read another thread that suggest the stitching will be red no matter the trim. Is that true? I have the black interior w/ white stitching.

Thanks in advance (no pun intended) 😁

The heated steering wheel will have an ASPEC badge even if it’s a non-ASPEC?

Whatever badge came with the car (blank, ASpec, TypeS) will move over to the new heated wheel but I think the new heated wheel is red stitching regardless.

I’d think whatever heated steering wheel option there was for a model with “Orchid” color interior might have the white stitching on the sport flat bottom wheel? On second thought when building a type S model and adding the heated steering wheel to a car with “Orchid” interior it does appear to add the sport flat bottom heated wheel with “red” stitching.

orchid is being offered on tiger eye type S’ in Canada this year, and they come standard with heated steering wheels so it will likely come available at some point (possibly might have to order from a canadian dealership though)…

In fact looking deeper, all Canadian TLX’s except the base model come with heated steering wheels so if you order a steering wheel and switches from a canadian dealership for a tech package, or platinum Elite vehicle you will get the standard steering wheel but with heat. I assume you might need to figure out where your corresponding vehicle in the us market lines up with the canadian one to make sure all the buttons are the same but seems like it would work if they are all wired for heat already.

FYI if a part is specific to canada or the us you cannot order it from your dealership in the other country. I found this out with the door handle film which is available in the US but not Canada. I Also found that body coloured splash guards are not available in Canada. Ours come with black plastic front guards standard and you can only order matching black plastic rear guards.

Oh this is awesome. I didn't think to look at the instructions, assuming it all came fully assembled. Thank you all for you response!
