Recommended Tire Pressure Acura TLX I4

Hello all,

I'm really enjoying my 1 month old TLX 2.4 Tech. Already driven 1200 miles!

I had a question about the Tire Pressure for the TLX 2.4 Tech. The pressure mentioned is 32 PSI on the car.

My tires came from the dealer with 34-35 PSI (when cold overnight, northern CA temperature). It goes up to 37-38 in heat when driving for a while.

It would be great if someone can give their opinions on:
  1. At what temperature should the tire pressure be 32 PSI?
  2. Should I reduce my tire pressures to 32 PSI? Why or Why not?
Thank you all!

1. The morning, sitting at least 3 hours, is the usual standard.
2. Set where you feel it handles and rides the best for you--experiment. If you go too much below 32, you'll see excessive edge wear, too much above, wear in the middle over time.

Mine came with 35, as it got a little cooler in the garage it has gone to as low as 32, I have not adjusted it but I do check the dash display. Usually tires rise or fall 1 pound per 10 degrees F. Nitrogen came in this one, as have my recent cars--I don't see a big advantage or difference (air is 78% nitrogen) but they did not charge extra.

niray9....32 PSI when cold is the most typical recommended tire pressure but for me, I always run mine at 35 PSI cold. I feel that it gives me the best driving experience....

You are going to get varied answers and depending on the priorities of the driver. Handling, MPG, tire wear, comfort all play into this. As mentioned above, experiment a little, but do be cognizant of temperate changes from season to season. I typically set my cold temp PSI at 33-34 as I find it represents a good overall balance.

Thanks all for the replies.
Yepp, probably will get the cold temperature down @1-1.5 PSI each tire in preparation for summer.
