Does the TLX have the same shock absorbers as the 2015 Accord???

The reason I ask is because if they are, Koni has a set out for the 2nd gen TSX which is the same as the accord and I would bet the Konis would work as the H&R springs I have are the same part number for TLX and Accord.

2nd gen TSX suspension will work on 8th gen Accord, front and back, but not on the front of the 9th gen Accord.

8th gen Accord = 2008-2012
9th gen Accord = 2013+

2nd gen TSX and 8th gen Accord are double wishbone front suspension. 9th gen Accord and TLX are MacPherson strut front suspension.

Not the whole strut, it's usually just a sleeve.

Koni doesn't have anything MacPherson that's specifically designed for the 9th gen Accord or TLX. But there is a way around this if you really want Koni's.

You can modify the front struts by cutting the OEM strut housing, remove the internal components, and slide in a Koni strut cartridge insert.

The 2816/2817 series inserts should work.

Here's what needs to be done:

How the heck can you maintain the same extended length as stock doing that? Looks kinda of jerry rigged to me. They should make their own struts or fabricate a housing to make their shocks a strut.

It's how Koni made struts for Hondas/Acuras with macpherson front suspension. I'm assuming it's not cost effective for them to make the whole strut.

I'm with you that this process is a little ghetto hence I went with coilovers.

Acura TSX 2nd Gen 2008-2014
