I have a 16 tlx 4cyl and I'm replacing the stock eagle ls2 tires, which are just about done at 42k miles.

I'm considering with the conti dws06 or the truecontact tour, which is a less performance oriented tire compared to the dws06. My question is how will the road noise on both these conti tires compare to the stock good year ls2?

Is it risky to step into the performance tire like the dws06 from a noise perspective? I see conflicting feedback about the dws06. Thanks all.

 

Run DWS on our '18 TLX 4cyl and they're fairly quiet. Also run DWS06 on my TDI Sporwagen in the summer time and they're quiet. Great all around performing tire.

 

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm really sensitive to noise, so I chickened out and got Goodyear Comfortdrive All Seasons ($200 off rebate)

 

How are the Goodyear's working out for you? Most likely they're quieter. Does the car handle any better or worse?

 

They handle the same in dry and better in wet, but the make a bit more noise (higher pitched) than the eagle LS for sure... But I'm very sensitive to noise... It's not like they're loud or anything but I definitely hear more of a humming over almost all surfaces
