'15 FWD V6 Tire Wear
Hey everyone, wanting to get your feedback on tire read life of your TLX. My FWD V6 was at the dealer on Saturday for an oil change and my service advisor mentioned my front tires are at 7/32" and my rear are at 5/32", so I might want to replace the tires next oil change. Checked the tires when I got home, and sure enough the dealer was correct.
The car only has 21k miles and I had a rotation done at 10k miles so I was shocked that the tires are wearing so quickly. I didn't have a rotation done this time as I don't want the tires with less tread going to the front since the car is FWD, was I correct in not having them do the rotation or should I have it done? 25k miles out of a pair of tires is as bad as my old Mercedes CLK 2-door, quite disappointing for a family sedan.

I have a 2015 FWD V6 also, currently have 36,000 miles on the car and stock Bridgestone Potenza tires. The tires probably have about another 10,000 miles left on them. I have been rotating them every other oil change, and do the oil changes every 5,000 miles regardless of the maintenance minder

Tires are still good at 7/32. That's half worn. When new, the OEM tires are 10/32 (Eagle LS-2) or 9/32 (Potenza RE97AS).
You really don't need to consider changing them until they get to 4/32 for wet roads and 2/32 for dry roads. Keep the 7/32 tires on the front drive wheels and you should be able to get at least another year/season out of them if you don't drive with a heavy foot.

At nearly 40k on my 2015 SH-AWD, I had about 10k left on the stock Goodyears but wanted to upgrade to the Michelin Pilot Sport. I take aggressive corners, mostly 75-80mph freeway miles, but rarely brake hard. What's everyone's driving style to be wearing out tires so fast?

My driving style is pretty average. I'm buying an A4 in the summer so I was hoping I wouldn't have to put new tires on the TLX! Will probably throw some new ones on the back before I get rid of it. With tread or not, these Potenzas are awful in rain and snow, even dry pavement.

7/32 is still great. And dealers never give you accurate readings. They have given me conflicting numbers, e.g. the later numbers are bigger than 6 months before on the same tires. Buy a tire thread gauge and measure on your own.

I'm at just a bit over 34,200mi and my tire tread is a 4. I've had the car since Nov 1, 2015, so these lasted as long as I expected them to. Especially on the crappy Bay Area roads we have everywhere with construction going on.
Now to decide which tires next...leaning towards the Michelin Pilot A/S 3s

Again I'm not set on picking them up, though I would be interested in seeing how the car feels after a different type of tire. I was thinking of getting the Pirelli Cinturato Strada A/S tires, if I go to America's Tires.
Anything but another pair of Bridgestones

I just picked up a set of Michelin AS3+ and had them installed. I can't believe how quiet these tires are compared to even the Bridgestones when they were new. I didn't really try any corners or anything but the car felt a bit more responsive. However I only did drive it in city streets hitting no higher than 40mph. I just can't believe how much quieter it is, it's like road noise doesn't even exist now.
I have these tires on a 13 GS F sport and they aren't as quiet. Very happy with these and got a pretty good deal on them too.
