RATTLES!!!!!! and disassembly
All
I have a rattle in the back deck area where the speakers are mounted. (area behind rear headrest and below back window) Dealer has attempted to fix twice and first time was good for a month and second time the rattle became worse. Before it was only with music that caused the rattle. Now road vibrations as well as music cause it. Does anyone have any experience taking this area apart? I want to see if I can add some Dynamat or other material to help reduce these rattles. I have pinpointed the area just need to take it apart. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I have a rattle coming from that area as well -- seems to be on the passenger side, though. With rattles it can many times be deceiving.
For me, it's more of a "tick tick tick" type sound (but the sound is random in pattern). Drives me crazy when it's happening. I was actually able to record the noise because since it doesn't happen all the time, I know when I mention it to the dealer they'll say "can't replicate". At least I can let them listen it.

I really meant the center console... the rattle is NOT from the seat belt itself BUT from the receiving end that the seat belt clicks into (next to the center console). This happens when no one is in the front passenger seat and therefor the seatbelt is not engaged into the receiving end.

Thankfully that is a good fix for you! I will try looking at mine when now one is in the front passenger seat! I think it's the space between the two doors and where the seat belt retractor comes out? I have an advance Paws, what are you driving?

My rear deck definitely rattled as well. The dealer claims to have took it apart to fix it, but it was no better.
I found that stuffing some black foam in between the glass window and the plastic right at the middle seems to have helped, but YMMV. I also stuffed some foam up under the plastic panel from the trunk area, though you cannot access the whole thing from under there, there are just a few access points.
I have no idea how to actually remove the panel, but I suspect it begins with removing the back seat first. A complicated procedure, so my guess is my dealer simply lied to me and did not open it up at all.

I had a rattle appear thatbweenes to be from the passenger door or passenger seat. Not happening when seat occupied. Which I wondered was either the noise being blocked or it really went away. Dealer traced to something under the seat which they wrapped in foam. Seems to have fixed it.

The rear shelf noise (tick tick tick) has been affecting other Acura models in the past too, my 2009 TSX had it, some of the 4G TL had it and now the TLX too.
There is a TSB on it (if I recall correctly) but as with anything, we assume that all mechanics are equal and will solve the noise and apply the TSB correctly, which is a big mistake. If one dealer doesn't do a good job, try another shop but one should accept that from a new car.

I was trying to determine if I had any squeaks, rattles, or any noise of any kind and luckily, I haven't heard any. I'm usually very particular about noises and my CTS had a nasty little rattle that came from the moonroof/sunshield that I could never isolate. It always bothered me, so I know how frustrating it can be for you members that have them.
