Acura TLX 2015: huge problem with the car paint
Hi all,
I have a huge problem with the car's paint. The paint has bubbled and wrinkled in a couple places on my right side of the car. (It was a hot day and the right side of the car was on the sunny side.)
What to do? is it a factory problem? Anything else? The car is less than one year old. ((( I bought this car as a CPO car. Maybe they used a touch up paint to get rid of the problems before selling it.

^^ WOW! I have never seen that happen ever! That looks horrible..There is no way that this would have naturally happened by just being in the sun.

Summer is Coming
What were you parked next to? Was it something very reflective? Like a glass wall? I've seen cases where the sun was reflected off a mirrored window onto things like vinyl siding and melted it. Maybe something like that happened to your paint.

The car was parked on the street. There was nothing really reflective. I'm not sure that it happened that day. it looks like it just got really bad that day, because the paint has already bubbled and peeled off the hood ( it should take time. maybe I did not notice it).
I bought a car about six month ago and everything was good. I noticed this problem when it became pretty hot outside.

Back to the selling dealer. They should definitely take care of it for you.

Most definitely shoddy repair work.
When buying used cars, regardless of CPO title, due diligence is needed.
CPO is a marketing term created by Lexus in the early '90s. It doesn't mean your used car will be spotless, that's the consumer's job to check and inspect
Check paper work, hope it Doesnt say "sold as is"

Not normal at all. In fact, the sun should just "bake" the paint on, helping it cure.
That's a poor repair job, and the dealer should take care of it. I'd be concerned about how much damage that car had before you got it, though ... if it involved the hood and right-side mirror (and maybe more areas) it shouldn't have been certified in the first place. CPO is supposed to be low-mileage cars that have been well-maintained and haven't been wrecked.

2015 Acura TLX paint peeling
I just noticed today that the paint has peeled off my 2015 TLX around the rear window. Just curious what the outcome was for this User. Did Acura cover it? Mine was a CPO as well.
