2018 TLX V6 A-SPEC FWD Transmission Issues
Took my 2018 TLX V6 A-SPEC FWD to the dealer this morning for oil A1 Service & State Inspection. While there I asked them to take a look at my transmission...I also went for a ride along with a tech.
Been noticing very violent shift pattern & I replicated the issue twice with the tech in the car, the vehicle would lurch forward and downshift hard in city-driving conditions when I was very light on the accelerator.
+ Bonus I just hit 32,500 miles on it and the dealer recommends changing my transmission fluid for $410.00 can anyone confirm they've seen similar prices? Seems high to me.

- 25-30mph

1) Yeah, the dealership charge for the transmission fluid is more than on a 4-cylinder or past TL's/6-cylinders -- they use a more expensive ATF, apparently. I think most places are probably charging around $300'ish... not sure. Here's what EE4Life posted a couple of years ago : https://acurazine.com/forums/fifth-g...mation-925334/
2) Unless you drive in some mountainous terrain, you shouldn't need to change the transmission fluid yet. You stated that you went for an A1 service (assuming that's what the computer showed on your dash). If so, the time to change your transmission fluid is when the number is a "3" shows up on the MID. Check your owners manual. I think that code came up for me around 40-50,000 miles.
