2015 TLX base model - brakes
 

Hi All,

I have the 2015 TLX Base 2wd with about 45k miles on it. Sometimes I can hear a squealing sound when going around a curve. It does not happen all the time but does happen a few times every now and then. It sounds like the brake tab skimming the surface of the rotor.

I'm thinking I may need to replace the brake pads. What kind of mileage are others getting with their TLX before having to replace brake pads. I know it is subject to driving style and conditions. This car is driven on a mix of highway and local road about 35 miles a day.

Wrong forum for this, should be posted under problems and fixes. Regardless at 45k brakes are probably due. Why not take a look as its easy enough to check and one of the easiest do it yourself items there is on any car. Normally they make noise when you apply the brakes but brake noise is not normally confused with other issues.
