At the Toronto car show. From http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1305...dian-auto-show
Horrible picture. Looks like the lighting in that area is all messed up. Hope to get some nice ones over the weekend by adjusting various settings on my camera to compensate. Sad to see they only got a red one for shows and didn't spice it up a bit with a white or a black one. Oh well...
Anyone else going to the TO show this weekend?

"Weather", to answer your question...........IMHO,the prototype is a hit and i feel that it is visually stunning, however I am not to hot for all the chrome trims.
In speaking to the Acura Rep he said that the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Well, with the Honda Accord sitting a few feet away, NOT. It is an Accord with some funky bumpers and a space cadet mirror. Granted, it has 1,000 gears to chose from (lol), but still, if you take away all the noise, it is a re-bodied Accord. For example, the hood contours/silhouette are the same.
Also there is something wrong with the prototype. The metal isn't pressed perfectly. If you look closely, when the light is right, there are little bumps and dents on the doors, obviously hand made.
More pictures tomorrow when I upload ~400 pics from the entire show.
One observation about the TO show. Once again, just like in Montreal, the most knowledgeable, intelligent, smiley, engaging and may I also say incredibly sexy, were the Fiat 500 girls.
PS. Can we get the Fiat 500 girls to do some marketing for Acura please?

Since the owner is one and the same we should expect some similarities between the accord and tlx. IT is after all based on the same platform. I could say the same thing with with other brands' luxury division. Lexus es looks like a camry, q50 has similarities with the altima and the jetta is just like the a4.

I wish they had that stupid plastic see through fence removed so that we can take better pictures with better angles. Or at least keep the damn plastic clean so that the camera won't auto focus on the the dirt on the plastic!
Next time I am bringing my own Windex
PS. I am not saying I don't like the Accord. But, walking back to my 4G TL after the show, seeing it in the parking lot, getting in and driving back home... I didn't get the feeling I was in an Accord.

Man I am in love with the prototype. I want it just like it is in my driveway right now!! Can the Accord comparisons stop please? Last time I checked there's no SH-AWD in an Accord...

Primarily the reason why I have to go for the TLX V6, if at all, because no Honda vehicle come with SH-AWD.
If the SH-AWD becomes available for the TLX I4 during its MMC, I'd definitely consider that vehicle as we don't need 100 more hp's.

I believe that the 5 lit jewels are the daytime running ligts. The 3 lit jewels are the low beam headlights. The remaining 2 jewels would be the high beams.

I don't understand Acura's recent fascination with hiding the exhaust.
The back end looks like it's missing something without the dual exhaust sticking out.
Maybe it's just me....

I agree though, it would look so much better with duals.

I like turtles
Hopefully I can add to this tomorrow-
Bringing my 3G to the dealer for transmission issues (of course) and praying my dealer has a TLX loaner. I know its wishful thinking, but hey ya never know...

What is it about the prototype that looks SO MUCH BETTER than the production model? It's not the chrome or the fancy mirrors. The 20" wheels, sure. I think it's the aggressively low and broad stance. The production model has the stance of an accord.
Sure that's the guts. But c'mon. Acura. Why did you scale it back? WHY??!
I really wanted to buy one.
