This is ours to compare. Again very similar but certainly a bit different in style. We will be going back to the silver polished look today since I am a sucker for the Bling Bling look.....

Oh no doubt. Rpf1s come in just about every size every pattern. Most importantly they are certified safe.

sour patch kids...
in this regard, I think he's saying you could get confused with a guy with gold wrapped mirrors

Shoot, even I got confused...but that said, I always wear whatever dress I want to prom, I don't care what the other girls are wearing.

IMHO black 19" rims on white would look better, with black vinyl wrapped grille and black roof

Just in case someone is looking for lowering spring on TLX (about an inch drop). RSR just sent us a set for installation. DIY will be available soon. Link below:

to black wheels. Fuck no.

Mike, that's awesome...some serious TLX owners will be happy to be able to get a mild drop with a spring MEANT for the car!

Like these much better.

But I like the wheels on teh Blue TLX the best. Only if that was more of a shinier/brighter finish (like 2012 tsx oem wheel finish)

Dude I absolutely love this tlx but I just can't stand vossen wheels.
My opinions aside, it is fact they are not certified by any quality test group. Why? Why won't they get their wheels tested? Either they won't pass or they just don't apply for the certifications.

I spoke to Mike from vossen and he went on about how they will be tuv certified soon. That was a year ago.
I spoke with Mike again more recently when the vossen precision line was launched. Still no tuv certifications. I begin to pass judgement when a company pushes more product before perfecting what they've already created. Especially when there are so many sources saying they have poor quality. A simply certification would shut them all up. But instead they just keep selling product I'm sure with no interest in spending money to get their products tested.

End rant... You asked why I was sour... There ya go.

P.s. I do love your build. I've followed it since the beginning.

Chan_Mike - Love your Ride. And thanks for all the information you've shared with us.

In your expert opinion, do you think you can fit a 10.5 wide rim in the front?

Does the staggered rims you have now cause any issues/check engine light on the SH-AWD?

Thanks

I have seem people putting 20x10.5 inch rim in the front, but some modified the front fender and they are running stretched tires. Not really a fan of that look.

Staggered rim set up does not create any issues/check engine light with both P-AWS and SH-AWD. We have tested already (20x9 in front and 20x10.5 in rear). Hope this infos help

I love the setup of Mike's TLX. He did a great job! I would like to get the same wheels on my TLX but mine is a V6 SH-AWD and my dealership said my warranty will be void if I put 245/35R20 front & 275/30R20 rear I compared these two tires and there is only 1% difference in the rolling diameter.
My wheels would be 20x9 front & 20x10.5 rear

Any advice guys? Should I go 20x9 on 4 sides? If yes, with what tire size?

Really RPF1s they are by far the most played out overrated wheel there is. you see them on everything and they aren't even that nice of a wheel unless you have a track car. this car would look like poo with RPF1s.

I think the wheels Mike has chosen fit the car exceptionally well.
