I hope you cleaned off the smudge marks.. lol

I can confirm my mats don't look like this at all. It has to be something with the image....

scooterb84 - What do your mats look like? My regular mats look like the ones posted. They have an almost "wood grain" like detail in them. Very nice! Will post pictures later this evening.

there are rumors that a type-s is indeed coming...ken (the mod) said his reliable source told him so.

so glad to see this build! great work so far.

I'm betting in the future folks will come around to the tlx a-spec kit like they have for the 3g type-s a-spec kit.

there is an article posted on one of the tlx threads where someone from acura confirmed that a type-s is being researched currently.

any rumors on drivetrain? financially I would guess it would use trickle down tech from the nsx, i.e. TT, DCT etc. However, recalling the original nsx...it used a C series which was 90 vs the J's which were all 60 degrees. Also I recall the shawd and not working due to the torque limits or the like.

I purchased the base which is why I think my floor mats don't have that look. The mats I have a more than fine as I plan to get all weather mats but they are definitely different.

i love that Acura even needs to research a Type-S. Like this is a risky concept or something. Every other premium brand does this.

the article was very vague, it literally just said "a type-s is currently being researched." I'm hoping some of the tech from the tlx gt will find it's way into a tlx type-s!

Seriously... I've been looking at CPO A6's. But if they're gonna release a Type S, I'd like to wait and see it.

We think alike in that department. Couldn't have said it better. No symmetry with wheel wells is really an eye sore to me.

No offense to Chan_Mike and to people who like that. Whatever floats your boat.

Anyway, I'm jealous of what this Chan_Mike can do with the car.

No symmetry being that it's slammed and tucking wheel? I really don't think it'll sit like that once the suspension arrives.

I'm like you, not really liking the slammed look or overly lowered cars. .. yep, to each their own

I love it - you still have the dealer sticker in the window!

I don't know how you guys do it - I don't have the stones to do anything to a brand new car beyond hang my parking tag on the mirror.

It's still a new car (not sold) - the dealership is the one doing the mods on it.

Just want to take a moment and share these amazing wheels we have choosen for this project. Vossen Vfs2 with Silver Polished finish. This wheel is from their brand new line, Vf Series, manufactured with their Advance Flow Forming Technology. The flow forming process maintains the integrity of the design while improving grain-structure of the aluminum, creating a stronger, lighter, and thinner forged-like rim barrel.

Beside, I love the wheel and the look on our project. Here is a pic of the wheel. We used 20x9 with offset +38, Bolt pattern 5x114.3.

I remember my dealer partnering with ronjon on the 2012 TL. I think there are pictures of the TLs from performance acura on ronjons site. You will also see rev wheels on TSXs at my dealer.

Send the car up to me and let me plastic weld the body kit to the bumpers so that it looks like it was 1 piece instead of a kit that was stuck on.

I like the direction and looks so far Keep it up. Oh and do something with the exhaust and get some tips out the back

Exhaust and tips with rear bumper integration would definitely be nice.

My next idea is have a company to create an adaptor so we can run 07-08 TL-S or 05-12 RL front Brembo calipers on the TLX. I believe it would be a nice touch to the project.
