Talking My New 2015 Acura TLX V6 Graphite Luster Metallic - SoCal

I've been gone for a while since I sold my TSX and got a truck but I couldn't stay gone for too long, especially when I got wind of the new TLX coming out. This car is truly amazing. By far the best Acura I have owned.... and I have owned a few over the last 15 years. Power is awesome and it has all the luxury amenities you could want and then some for a car under 36K! I will snap some more pictures when I can but here are some from the dealership when I picked it up Sunday.

Three other couples where literally in line to purchase the car if my deal didn't go through on Sunday. Talk about pressure. I have a feeling this car is going to be hard to snag over the next few months. Hope Acura plans to beef up production as my dealership cant keep them in stock.

I didn't spring for the tech package as the base truly has almost all the features of the old tech package in the 2012 models minus the navigation which I personally don't need.

I plan to keep the mods simple as I always have. Definitely want to get the deck lid spoiler, tint and some lowering springs when they are available. Other than that the car truly looks amazing as is. Looking forward to the community catching on to this car and seeing what others have in store.

Thanks for any feedback! Glad to be part of the Acura community again!

CONGRATS! I think you are one of the first (if not the first) non-tech owners I gotta ask - how's the base sound system? I'm getting a base as well so just curious. What color interior? What do you think of the seating material (leatherette)? From the 2 times I've seen it and felt it in person, it felt great to me.

Thanks and congrats on your choice, you wont regret it! The sound system is great considering what I have had in the past. It lacks a little punch but is far better than any standard sound system I've heard. I went with the ebony interior and its a great color. The leather seems very solid and although it isn't perforated still has a really nice feel and look to it. I personally only drive 10 miles to work and occasional monthly family trips so having all the bells and whistles of the tech and advanced packages didn't really seem worth it in my case. For a base package, I am blown away by whats included compared to many other manufacturers and what they consider standard. The touch screen is a really nice touch as well as the backup camera. Cant say enough good things about the TLX!

THanks - I also went with the Ebony interior. I'm coming from an 09 TSX tech package. This time around I decided against the tech as there was no MUST HAVE in it. I use my phone for navi, leatherette is perfectly fine (and more durable), and the better sound is nice but I'm sure the base is plenty for my needs. And all the safety features would likely annoy me more than help me lol Would you mind posting some pics of the interior - mainly the seats? The ones I've seen of the base ebony weren't that great quality. Enjoy the ride - Can't wait for mine!

Congratulations. I picked up my Graphite Luster Metallic/Greystone V6 Tech on Saturday and I love it. It may take all of my 3 year lease term to figure out how everything works though.

Congrats and I totally agree with you. So many damn options and settings its going to take a bit to really get everything dialed in. I am personally still getting used to the push button transmission and push button start without a key.

I drove your car last Friday night! Did you buy it on Sunday? If so I saw you talking with Brian as you were doing the deal. I ordered a Black with Greystone base V6 on Sunday. What sort of deal did they work for you?

I just looked a little closer at your first picture and noticed that my TSX Sport Wagon is in the background, I guess that answers my first question. Sorry, I would have edited my previous post, but I need a minimum of 5 posts to edit.

Small world! Congrats on the purchase! You wont be disappointed. Really happy with the car and the dealership. I have always dealt with Valencia Acura. They are an amazing dealership and great people. I am sure they will work out a great deal for you! Post pics once you get your new ride!
