#TheTLXproject with RV6 PCD

Our team is getting ready to install some RV6 PCDs on our 2015 Acura TLX V6 project. Thanks so much for Rich and his entire RV6 team.

Rich has got to be one of my favorite vendors to have dealt with...always classy and cool. Glad he decided he wanted to get a head start on the aftermarket for the new gen.

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if RV6 is currently building a full catback system for the TLX as well. Muffers coming soon right?!

Here is a base (Before RV6 PCDs) dyno chart from our good friend at STP Motorsport at Fort Lauderdale, FL on our 2015 TLX 2WD V6. This is a 5th gear pull on a DyonJet. Run condition at around 91 degress with 71% of humidity. Out of the 3 runs, pretty consistent. Max 265.89HP and 251.23 Torque. That is less than 9% of power loss from what Acura claimed. I am very very happy with the result.

5th gear the closest gear to 1:1? I forget this thing has a 9sp AT

RV6 products are the best products I have ever put on my any of my Honda's and Acura's, he's awesome to work with too.

Cant wait to see the after dyno once installed!

Sorry if this has been asked many times but is this a mod that should be avoided on a leased car? My dealership over the years has always been very cool with modifications but I have never don't anything other than lowering springs and intake. Thoughts? I would of course remove it before trading back in...

Any chance you can post an SAE corrected dyno instead of an STD corrected dyno? Just for comparison to the majority of dynos on this site?

STD figures are usually around 4% higher than SAE, but winpep will readily convert your dynos for you. If we took your peak runs and guestimated an SAE conversion just using the imperfect 4% conversion, we'd get 255whp/241wtq which is still more torque than we've ever seen from a J35 variant. Good stuff.

Yes 5th gear is the closest to 1:1. The vehicle actually hit the restricted top speed right before it hits the rev limit.
Agree. RV6 is the best under hood products so far. The detail and craftsmanship that goes in every single one of their products are amazing. It's come with everything you will need for the install, including instruction, hardwares and gaskets.

Yes sir

Some dealerships might get sensitive with aftermarket add on. It really vary from dealer to dealer.

RV6 is the first so far with any mods under the hood on the TLXs. I am sure they are already looking into the exhaust system or under development. We will love to have the first exhaust system in our project.

On start up, not too much. But on hard and full throttles, it gives a super nice throatier sound.

Well.... Moment of truth. Back in our friend STP Motorsport at Fort Lauderdale, FL for some more Dyno actions. Gain 14 whp and 18 torque at high RPM. From perfect fitment, awesome craftsmanship and to proven power gains. RV6 reputation speaks for themselves.

Were the larger wheels on the car during the 1st dyno that you are comparing it to?

when installing new mods, before Dyno, you should drive 100 miles or more, let the ecu learn new mods. Usually it pulls better after week driving.

After the PCDs installed, we resetted the ECU and drove it for over 250 miles before the dyno.
