Don't run custom exhaust without VCMuzzler!
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to throw this out there, if you have customized your exhaust in any way, there's a really good chance that you can really hear VCM kicking in. To me, it sounds like the engine is "missing" when it engages, and it makes my aftermarket exhaust sound like crap. If you're not for sure, try driving in Sport+ mode. If the noise goes away, it's very possibly VCM.
I don't know why I waited so long to spend $45 and 10 minutes of my life to buy and install this thing. Not only does it help with my exhaust sound in town, but it eliminated a lot of the drone I had going down the interstate with cruise on.
Acura has the OEM exhaust so muffled, that you really can't hear the VCM. When you amp up the exhaust sound, the VCM makes it sound like the car is going to choke and die!
